not really. Theres a lot of strays and people don't lock them in but i never had a problem with them. They're small-medium sized and malnourished and get treated like shit. I don't even know why tongans have dogs they don't care if they live or die.
just constant bombardment and the program they use is creationist, you have to memorise bits of scripture with school assessment as part of the mark, theres a faith class every week.

nah, basically everyone speaks english though. Theres accually a decent amount of expats there, you can definitely feel standing out but mostly in the ask the white people for money way because the entire country is a money sink propped up by anglo and chinese investment. And they definitely don't like the Chinese even though they drump way more money in have have tons of little shops.

they speak tongan with themsleves but they'll switch into english mid conversation and chuck in both words into the other language

My ex was Samoan. Thicc but not fat, everybody loves to cook over there.
Family is everything in Polynesia, especially in expat communities in the US and elsewhere. My ex's extended family rented out an entire apartment building for everyone to stay in, and they would always have cookouts and gatherings.
Polynesians are almost always super chill people. 10/10 bro tier. Just watch out for Filipinos that like to wewuz

Friend of mine is from NZ. According to him a lot of Maori have the same sort of problems our natives do, such as alcoholism and domestic abuse. That said, there are far more that "make it" into the rest of society rather than practically none like it is here.

Yeah kinda. They have very large and loud sermons like Evangelicals, but with none of the aggressive 'fire and brimstone' rhetoric that you'd think of when you hear that kind of worship. Roman Catholics are the most popular back on the islands, and there are a suprising amount of Mormons too.
But despite how loud they can get, I've never been proselytized by anyone, so they're good to me. Plus they like to have cookouts and roasts after church

Yeah I got that impression from Hawaiians. I can understand their point of view a hundred years ago, but Hawaii is far gone. Hawaii is an important tale of a people replaced. If you bring in thousands of people from foreign lands, your culture and people will die out. It's just funny how websites like AJ+ and Buzzfeed don't have the foresight to see this. Maori had it better though because they have higher numbers but I don't think Te Reo is as prominant there.
