Instant noodles too. Iconic student's everyday food.

I don't know why poor people eat that. That's expensive as shit. With that price of that you could get 1kg of pasta or potatoes

Its like 30 cents

Yeah and that's like 50g

I'm a good cook and I also have enough money to get 'fancier' food but I eat instant ramen at least 4-5 times a week because you can make it in 2 minutes, you don't need to do any dishes and it fills you up.

It comes with a seasoning packet tho

The "fancier" food ends up being much cheaper. Is it the spicies which jack up the prices?
Instant noodles are like 6€/kg

And with plastic fork

>buy pasta
>boil water
>tomatoes/spices/etc.
>use a lot of dishes
>have to cook for 30-40 minutes

>or buy this shit
>boil water
>pour
>done in 5-10 minutes

You don't have to stand by the stove whole the time you know. And there's a lot more than one meal so you can reheat the rest later.

Pasta and pizza are not bad but it's something one shouldn't eat more than once or twice a month.
I got bored of eating it and now I feel honestly sick when I see pasta at the supermarket or walk past a pizza store.

>have to cook for 30-40 minutes
lolno. 10-15 minutes depending on the pasta's thickness.
>tomatoes/spices/etc.
The only expensive thing for pasta is cheese really, tomatoes are dirt cheap.
>use a lot of dishes
Sort of, but it's just the pot and colander not that much.

I know how to cook sopa de fideos and that shit takes a good while if you want them to be good.

This
It's just tickles my autism when people eat instant noodles and say it's cheap

refried beans?

that's pork liver and slices of cucumbers on ryebread. it's common to eat this for lunch. we call them rugbrodsmadder

My condolences.

"Poor"...Hm. Most students work here part time in addition to their fulltime study. So you can atleast spend 70-80 Euro / month for food.
That what the average poor joe spends for food here.

Most people I know from University are eating rice, eggs, lasagna or frozen pizza for dinner if they don't wanna spend much. I heard from some guy he ate all year meatballs with bread for breakfast & dinner, everyday.

But overall food is pretty cheap here so it doesn't come down to your money but more over how much prepare time you wanna invest. The "rich" students (basically parents sponsored) are buying shit from the bio market and whatever and just eat the same shit, just more expensive.

But they still look like proper meals

I don't know I live with my parents

Oh and yeah, Ja! Spaghetti is like 30-40 cents here. You can get 4-5 meals out of it, with tomato sauce (50c >) pretty cheap. But thats just things for the last resort.

With a soda on the side

Poor LAZY students eat ramen. I was basically on my own in college and I never resorted to eating ramen. I always bought pasta for like 88 cents and tomatoes and made me great thick pasta

That looks like the local Cretons we have in Quebec. Very good, made with pork too.

I'm a student but I got a scholarship for being really good at what I do so I can go to mcdonalds and have the wrap of the day every day

it's boring as fuck but it's easy because I live very close to it

>be University EE student
>work 15 hrs/week
>get paid ~1100 euro
>eating 5 from 7 days out
>still able to save money

Like, just get a job. Being a student is not that time consuming. nobody needs to study 69-80 hrs/weeks. lmao.

>get paid ~1100 euro
Don't you pay taxes?

As a student, no. You have special rights as a student. What you need pay for is a rate for retirement and health care. The "normal" taxes are not included as long you are a student.

grim this

>wrap of the day
wish US McDicks still had wraps

Man I am definitely jealous. I may talk mad shit about Germans, but your public education system is vastly superior to ours.

most of the world's education systems are better than ours

unironically this
typically wouldn't cost more than US$2, you can be rich as fuck and still think it's a great choice for a meal

wtf it's like 2€ here

nice

uhm, 7/10

Poor argie can't digest pasta or dough

The cheapest combos i found was
Oatmeal + Protein powder + water
Rice + Black beans + water
can easily eat for under 3 euro a day with this

what about ur protein source? here the best choice is eggs (2€/15). lasts for 2-3 days for me

$1 a can on sale
