Ichimoku is really simple and it works really well. It is elegant, not messy. It takes about 30 minutes to learn, 1 day of tracking a stock/index to truly understand. Combine with HA candles for optimal results.

how often should i be daytrading for dosh? is it worth holding onto lower volume stocks for the long term gain? is there a primer i missed? i'm not terribly financially educated but it seems like a waste to just hoard cash when i don't have a mortgage

Im over a month in and i have to admit to myself that my picks serve me more as an educational experience rather than intelligent investing decisions.
When a stock looks underpriced despite a bright future, dig in deeper to the details of why sentiment is negative. The annual reports arent enough.
Google the shit of it and find the articles where some analyst usually explains exactly what issues they see.

What sucks is that most good market and company analyses is behind a paywall.

If there is any comfort to you, I had the same thing happened with QURE. But investors were enthusiastic and after some small dips, the bullrun resumed.

Interestingly, GILD is part of the offering (50M$) which add more fuel to the viabiity of SGMO's tech
