The reason it doesn't look traditionally cyberpunky is because 90% of the trailer takes place during the day. You can see neon lights and stuff in the background they're just not as prominent since it's so bright.
Hopefully they release screenshots or something of the game at night.

And it was like this in cinema for more than a decade: Johnny-Mnemonic, BGC, GitS, all that stuff was bearing the mark of Blade Runner. And when people speak of cyberpunk they imagine all the same things: dark skyscrapers, gray sky, high tech, huge income inequality etc.

I mean, Blade Runner is full of neon signs and products to pleasure yourself, but I think this is more realistic depiction of America's future. Everyone is fucking in the street because it's easier that way and whatever morals stopping it are gone, people modify themselves to feel unique, everything is flashy and gaudy to show off your wealth, fighting and fucking over minor things is the norm, everyone is focused on buying the next new thing to show off. Maybe somewhere like Moscow would grow into a more brooding and lonely place, but in America? It's just going to be consumerist hedonism as far as the eye can see, the few introspective people in existence will be NEETs.
