Suburbs like these are literally purgatory...

Suburbs like these are literally purgatory. Who would even want to live in a sea of identically designed and spaced homes that stretches on as far as you can see where nothing's within walking distance? I would actually rather live in a cardboard box in an alleway somewhere than in a middle-American suburb. What the fuck is the allure of these places?

Answer to both questions: white people

They're essentially upscaled projects

people caught up in the rat race. .it's a hive mind of tv watching, starbucks drinking, sport fan simpletons.
that is total hell. imagine going outside your front door and seeing 30 other strangers at any given time. fuck that

who cares? a house is a house, if it has heating, electricity, water, etc, who gives a shit about how "unique" it is you special fucking snowflake faggot

if you define yourself by your home congrats on being the best goy in existence

Like i said white people

If you look closely, these are actually some quite nice homes. I bet it is real comfy on the interior too. It looks like they get lots of sunlight.

I define myself by my home and you should too. The home is an extension of the owner. Am I cucked for wanting a nice parcel of land with good views and space to roam instead of being a sardine in a can?

Usually right by "good" schools middle aged people are text book goys

so do you suggest we live amongst niggers and spics? the only acceptable shitskin to live near are pajeets and chinks but even that has its limits

>I define myself by my home and you should too.
Good goy, you aren't a real person unless you sign this mortgage contract!

on a larger scale frame we all share a single point

Black people housing

Why try argue with simpletons user you shoul know better.

*The remnants of white people housing after being occupied for some time by black people

Blacks don't build things.

>implying the people taking on home loans they can't afford and living the debt-based lifestyle aren't the exact people living in the suburbs pictured above

that's mexico. everyone in this thread is retarded

Fair point.

Don't care where the exact picture is from, suburbs like these are fucking everywhere in the US.

No, the people who take on unsustainable home loans are living in hipster shitholes where every $1,000,000 victorian walkup piece of shit has to be "unique" or with a "interesting history"

Congrats on falling for the "my house defines me as a person" scam, retard. I'm sure there's a Vancouver or SF realtor rubbing his hands at the thought of someone like you.

nobody gives a fuck you waste of dubs

all of those houses seem of modest size, same neighboorhoods, and have working utilities

What's wrong with the suburbs? They're cozy and neat.

You sir are le retard. My wife and I bought 5 acres of wooded land and a small house for just over $50k. It will easily be paid off before the 30 year period. I walk outside and see forest. No neighbors.

I grew up in apartments, a home with 3 acres, a nice DFW suburb, and a house with 10 acres.

The suburb was probably my favorite.. Although it was centrally located to all the best cities around Dallas.. 30 minute drive to get anywhere.. But it was always a fun drive because everyone was lit blasting hiphop and driving 90mph except between 5:30-7pm

But... But...

I can choose the colour of my granite counter for the kitchen!

>muh wife's son and me
nobody cares you loser faggot, OP was clearly complaining about nothing being in walking distance, meaning he wants to live in an inner city gentrified hipster shithole and gets butthurt about people spending 100k-200k to live in the affordable suburbs.

Older neighborhoods give you a bit more space between the houses in the suburbs. For whatever reason the older neighborhoods have more space and all mostly unique looking houses. When I looked at newer construction it was like tightly packed, copy/pastes.

My wife's son and me? Our son came from my seed, you wannabe psychic.

nobody gives a fuck about your trisomy child and your ugly wife faggot

Those are all duplexes owned by Goldstein you really think they would build houses the goyium could own one day

homes aren't built like this anymore, and i don't understand wh--

>developers in bed with politicians to use cheap materials and kick back the profits

It's pretty amazing so many people seem happy living like this. When I move out of the city I want breathing room in a nice comfy little town off of a main street with a nice yard and greenery in all directions. Living in your pic related is like being in this pic related desu.

Attached: 1523200501208.jpg (400x568, 30K)

As opposed to a shitbox just outside of a ghetto and surrounded by smog?

Attached: apartments.jpg (2048x1365, 254K)

There's a reason user, greedy developers have ruined this planet. Why build 5 well built houses with plenty of space between them, when you can legally build 25 in the same amount of space, and use garbage materials on top of that. In 100 years most of these houses built today will need some serious home improvement

Are these all duplexes or are they designed so that you can split the house after the divorce and live on separate sides?

>bought 5 acres of wooded land and a small house for just over $50k. It will easily be paid off before the 30 year period

>50k
>Not already paid off in cash

Haha poorfag, have fun when your wife takes it from you

>no fences

can a burger please explain this to me.

It's pretty common in the midwest, people just trust each other and don't even lock their doors. Probably not common in neighborhoods like pic related though. An oversight or artistic decision on the artist's part rather than a realistic depiction.

Suburbs are amazing, just because you're 16 and mom made you take out the trash today for the first fucking time in 2 years and you hate it because it smells and Josh's mom isn't SUCH A FUCKING BITCH doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. Just remember that when you grow up and finally move into the $1800 a month 1 bedroom in the Bronx and think that you really fucking made it, there's gonna be a Jew laughing at you for buying into the scam

Yeah I live in Weston FL, look that shit up it's primo suburbia, no one even thinks twice about not locking their doors, although most homeowners have guns from what I know.

imagine the crime in those commie stacks

yeah, but, where do the kids play? what if you have a dog? where is the privacy man??

Either a larp or someone who's gonna be broke and wifeless in 10 years, real estate is an investment, and going the easy way is just an excuse for someone else to come by and cuck you, or leave you alone long enough that you get cucked anyway

Also 50k in 30 years??? What, are you making 12k a year??

I've transcended that teenage contrarian angst towards the suburbs and now I actually yearn for suburbia in a conscious way. I want purgatory. I want massive empty parking lots and packed Targets and Buffalo Wild Wings on a Saturday night. I want space and cars for miles.

I don't know why but there's something comforting about the suburbs, and I didn't even grow up in one. I've been around people my whole life that shit on suburbs and want to live in the city, but the city is full of its own cookie-cutters, and they're the kind of people who think they're """unique""""" and special because they live in a gentrified neighborhood on the edge of a ghetto that they would never step foot in, and they take the train downtown for 9-5 before they return to their overpriced apartments. Fuck that. I'd take Suburbia any day.

Attached: home like noplace.jpg (1200x1200, 403K)

Nah it's actually safe there. You don't have to worry about shit in nice burbs

In the backyard, outside with their friends, on the ps4, idk how to answer this they're kids they will play with a rock if you let them

Yeah same, you're probably getting more responsible or just weird as fuck, as people grow and take on more responsibility and meaning in their lives the benefits suburbia brings become more understood, really the only people who hate the suburbs are angry teens.

Not one of you faggots has even mentioned the added 'bonus' of home owners associations, which often charge you a fee just to tell you what you can and can not do with your own home. Ugh.

I don't want to live in a shithole apartment in the city. I just want to have a sizable parcel of land. Where I can look around and see something other than the same home copy-pasted a million times. Not at all suburbs are bad. The one I grew up in was pretty comfy because the houses were well-spaced and weren't just clones.

You complain about wanting a "sizable parcel of land" but in the next breath complain about "not having things in walking distance"

You sound like an angsty teenager who doesn't know what they want.

Not having to deal with anyone with different values than you, crime, etc.

I never said I wanted both. I complain about the lack of things within walking distance because suburban hell combines the worst aspects of both lifestyles. I could either live in an apartment in the city center and be close to all the amenities while being similarly boxed in next to my neighbors, or go live in the country and be far from the amenities but have space to roam.

In some newer neighborhoods there are pretty decent parks and walking trails to encourage people to get out and about.

Alas, some are just row after row of houses as pictured.

Repeat after me:

It is impossible for a developer to sell the construction of a neighborhood to a city or a private association if the buildings are literal copies of each other. No one will buy, everyone and their mother heard the 'cookie cutter' bullshit and they corrected for it way before you were born.

"Suburban hell" 16 year old confirmed

Holy fuck you people are dense. I even had to clarify above I don't hate all suburbs. How do you not understand that by "suburban hell" I specifically mean these developments where the homes are 5 feet from each other, have little to no yard space, all look basically identical, and are laid out in giant grids with the people stuck at the center being too far from anywhere to walk?

It's the settle point that a lot of people pick between having land and a three hour commute.

Cucked white people - sadly true. The unjewed live on their own land with open skies and clean air.

You win this point.

What's even more interesting, I'd bet money over half of the people in that photo don't even know their neighbor's names. Not only do you live in houses close enough you can hear your neighbors fuck, you still live in complete isolation from each other. You might wave going to work, and if you're lucky you remember their first names... but you're still strangers to all of them. No sense of community whatsoever.

Used to live in one of these type of places. Honestly they make great starter homes. These type of neighborhoods also cater to mad swinger parties.

Why is this a bad thing? Fuck neighbors, fuck people in general.

Imagine the sex.
Like bunnies in a den.

BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE POORFAGS, IGNORANT AND HAVE SHIT TASTE SO THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IS OVERPRICED.

developers are just responding to a market. The fact that dodgy developers can still make a profit hints at the general ignorance or lack of taste of the buyers.

>what was jefferson's home like
Wow, it's not like his home is on the back of the nickel or anything! It's not like it even has a name and is an extremely popular tourist destination!

In suburban white areas like that, crime is extremely low; nearly nonexistent. Because of that nobody bothers with fences and a ton of people don't even lock their doors

Most of the time there's a community park within ~15 minute walking distance. If you happen to live in the very center of the collection of houses, it will probably add an extra 10-20 minutes of walking depending on how big it is

Rural living will always be the best but the only thing that sucks about it is no hospital in sight.

too deep

Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky,1
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

I bet you look like this, wear plaid shirts whom you tuck into your beige slacks, mow the lawn every goddamn friday and greet the neighbours with the same zombie forced smile.

Then you enter your house, watch how your meme coins fall and then you put out cigarette butts on your skin to relieve the pain.

Many suburbs are nice. Why are Euros so fixated on them?

I'm with you there, user. I was the same way in my teens, always thought the suburbs were boring and nothing ever happened there. I always imagined the cities to be these bustling places where exciting people lived and crazy shit was always happening.

Now I live in a city and yearn for the suburbs again. I yearn to be able to drive a car anywhere I please without having to worry about parking. I yearn for that peacefulness that you get in nice neighborhoods. I yearn to be able to step outside of my house again actually see trees. And I think most importantly I yearn for all that empty space - being able to just look around and see nature that no one has any intention of turning into real estate development.

I had a friend who lived in Brooklyn once. She eventually left the city and moved to the middle of nowhere. I had no idea what she would want to leave Brooklyn until I lived in the city myself. Now I crave that quiet solitude and can't blame here for wanting to leave.

>suburbs
That's not a suburb. That's urban but without business. Suburb is when people have yards.

comfy/10

American housing is completely soulless.

Are you implying people of color can't afford a house?

>buy an old house, have tons of repairs
>new houses have no character
wtf to do?

Buy an old house and repair it with some character. Look at it like a project car. If what you want doesn't exist, build it. Build something new.

Crime rates in China are much lower than most of the US

Why are there no fences? Why would I want some nigger walking around in my back yard?

> What the fuck is the allure of these places?

Because there are no niggers and very few spics. You do not understand the lengths that actual humans will do to get away from these feral animals.

Every other answer is a lie. The real reason is because white people want to live with each other and be relatively free of crime and random violence.

Southwesterners and people from Ohio who don’t know any better.

It's so easy to trigger you thin skinned fags and make you drop the civilized act

Pretty much. Isn't the point of suburbs for white people to get away from crime ridden black urban environments?

This. I’m planning on retreating into the countryside of some European country and living mostly off my own food
