They were brought up by the DDR school system, then they were backstabbed by the Gesamtdeutsche administration - most of them being teenagers, used to German society, and loving German culture. For some reason I cannot grasp, the BRD prefers to welcome those who have no intention to become average Germans and don't even hide it, yet shuns those who adapt eagerly.
