Is it a stupid idea to quit my mediocre job and go back to college/university at 28 years old?
Is it a stupid idea to quit my mediocre job and go back to college/university at 28 years old?
Nah, I'm in uni at 29. I lie about my age to everyone though.
I was actually going to do my degree online through a state university. I already have a house and I'm married so living in a dorm wouldn't be an option for me, and the commute is nearly two hours.
It's not like a Kaplan or DeVry degree though, it's from the actual institution, they just allow certain degrees to be done online.
What's your uni age?
you're gonna wagecuck anyway if you go to university so think about it carefully
23. I just change 1988 to 1994.
Go for it then.
Well if I go back to university I'm definitely doing a degree in accounting and sitting for the CPA. Isn't there the possibility of working for myself someday with that sort of skillset?
If you're going for a technical degree, nobody cares
If you're going for something stupid in arts then yeah you're a faggot.
I am applying for financial management masters age 23. Before that I did tourism management bachelor's. Am I going to make it?
Nobody likes you when you're 23 and you still act like you're in freshman year.
Yeah I was a jobless NEET till I was 27 and went back to uni, I'm awkward and can't interact with people. I'm not here to make friends, it's just better than being homeless. I don't really interact with pepole much unless I have to for class or my roommates, and if age ever comes up I just say 23 because 29 is humiliating especially when someone 29 still has no self-confidence or social skills. Even 23 surprises people because I look/dress like a teenager.
what uni? need in on that scam.
Are you saying you never want to act your age?
no.
I would say find something that suits you that doesn't feel like work and make money from it. If that's your best bet go for it
It's not a scam. Most state universities nowadays offer at least a couple of online degrees. Just go on any state uni's website and look at the "online programs" tab or whatever they call it. Some schools refer to it as "distance learning," and all that good stuff.
I want to but I can't. I can't keep eye contact or hold a conversation. Growing up in an abusive narcissistic family and essentially spending the entirety of my 20s in solitary confinement has permanently fucked me up. I am trying to become a normie and "grow up" and I'm definitely much better than I was 2 years ago, but I'm still socially stunted and broken from my terrible childhood. I would like to just be a NEET for the rest of my life but I don' thave that luxury.
How are you going to support yourself while studying? Part-time job or a loan?
I just want something productive, safe, and stable. I'm a book keeper at the moment and do some forex and day trading on the side. I'm tired of earning peanuts and feel like going the next step would be beneficial for myself and my family.
I honestly don't mind working with money and finances (I actually quite like it), but as a book keeper there is no upward movement and little room for the idea of owning your own business someday.
I literally live off loans and financial aid. I was homeless before this, lived in my car for 9 months when i finally reached tipping point and left my family.
if u live in EU its the best idea
I'm assuming you meant to ask me, the OP.
My wife just became an ultrasound technician and started at nearly double what I make, working at the hospital. She's supportive of the idea of me getting a degree, so long as it's something productive and fruitful for us and not something dumb like art or theater.
I'm glad you're taking steps to get it together, many don't have the courage. Do what you must and eventually you'll get used to it.
I guess this is growing up.
Hopefully I make it with crypto. I bought bitcoin in 2015.
How many do you have? I can't imagine much because of all the trouble you had, no? What's your selling price to make at least enough to undo all the damage and live a comfortable upper middle class life?
how do they do tests and stuff?
Timed and taken online for some. The state university I plan on attending does video lectures and testing at a local community college campus.
It depends on
A) Your job
B) Your major
C) How you will pay for it
I did, zero.regreats OP. Engineering is hard but worth it.
You're tough as nails OP, best of luck to you.
Yo what's your age again if you don't mind my asking?
my dude, just starting uni aswell after summer. 28y oldfag here. defo one of the oldest but chicks love my wisdom awwww yisssss
srsly like all the chicks are between 19 and 25.. feel like paradise. even better as my lowcuck bartender years (it was fun tho but you are not making a living, so a deegree makes you even more attractive to money and girls)
good choice, dont fall for wagecuck memeing if you have access to education. enjoy the years bruh.
Not if doing so would mean you get a better job once would graduate, no
What's my age again?
>What's my age again?
23
No. If you're passionate about what you want to do and it's not a meme tier major then do it now. I worked an okay job but went back to become an electrical engineer which was what I always wanted to do. I'm really glad I did.
