Yea i still believe in the fundamentals. The timing is weird though, but i have not followed anyone long enough to know if this is standard practice.

Come to think about it, ICPT recently did that.
End of 2017, they had 440M$ in cash, which is roughly 1.5 years of cash burn (according to their statement of cash flows).
We already have 2 examples of such practice.
Bear in mind, GILD believe in SGMO and GILD management has had a good track record of sniffing out hidden gems.

Correction : ICPT had 415M$

I suppose the bullish spin on this move is that results are looking positive and they want more capital to accelerate growth.

Morning all

yeah keep bagholding :^)

Also, is it too late to get into the UUP call bandwagon ? It seems Emperor Trump's USD is being GREAT AGAIN

Morning, who's ready for gains?

>Wow this flavor... it is really something out of this world. It is amazing how a 156 years old ration can retain this level of freshness and tasting depth.

He's my favorite MRE sommelier

Attached: 1499671840503.png (668x936, 1.52M)

>Alright... let's get this out onto a tray

Nice! I actually bought a few US MRE's to try coffee instant, it was type III but it really wasn't bad I actually kinda liked it

Attached: 1498181701603.jpg (240x280, 18K)

I haven't tasted any MRE so far
I can't even remember how I got into that MRE sommelier thing

Instant coffee is actually pretty good. I drank a shit load of it out in Russia.

Why don't you just short the bonds with leverage. You'll be able to buy like 20 pairs of knee pads for your friends, then you can charge them a commission on all of their sales.

TWTR is going to sell off at open.

What's the plan today? Pick up more bond shorts, or do an oil/gold play?

Almost game time today
Then Amazon and Ford tomorrow

Hooray for the roller coaster ride that is earnings week

Attached: Screenshot_20180425-081832.png (1440x2560, 131K)

Missed you guys yesterday. Was at physio for my car crash. Down to 1 session per week now, so almost back to normal.

Anyway, Was on heat yesterday, so checked my investing.com app. 3%; it finally happened. Walked home listening to Bloomberg radio sperg over 10 year yields for 20 minutes. Got home, checked the markets... was a shit day.

Tried to get on here around 11 am eastern, but Jow Forums was down or something? So had some gin and took a comfy nap instead.

>me not know what bonds are
>me not know how 4 short bonds
>instinctively me want say bonds bottomed out

Bonds are how people pay for the national debt. With another 10 trillion dollars getting added to the debt, that means there are tons of bonds to be bought. This will pressure the yield rates to move upward to meet the demand, this will decrease the value of the existing bonds already in circulation. This is why this is the easiest trade of the decade, and why there is literally no reason not to do it at the moment. Also when bond yield hit 3.5% 4% you're going to see equities absolutely tank to levels we haven't seen in years. The fed is also reducing its balance sheet to get all that QE1 and QE2 money out of the market, so people who are long equities are just going to get fucked hard. Don't get fucked hard, find financial independence.

>shorting bonds is obvious
Isn't it a crowded trade then ? Won't everybody be doing that, risking a short squeeze ?

Attached: 30705517_1597852583585816_6852636100477845504_n.png (750x750, 549K)

Bonds have NOT bottomed out. Look for 4% 10 year yield soon unless inverted yield curve and/or 2yr-10yr negative yield.

Look for %2.85 or so on May 9th's 10-year auction.

Military MREs are the only good ones. I was disappointed when they were only handing out the civi versions during Hurricane Harvey. Basically all the shit the military didn’t want thrown into a bag. Still not as bad as the humanitarian meals in the pink bags. I’ve been through too many storms.

you make more money running with the bulls than you do against them

unless you get in over your head

Jalapeno cheese spread from them is the best kept government secret I swear. The muffin tops are also tasty

I am not trying to be an asshole
I fully understand and agree with the bond bear case.

But shorting with the crowd, isn't it FOMOing ?

The bond yield at the date the coupon is issued is the only thing that determines the price of a bond. As the yields change that's what effects the price of the bonds. Long story short, the interest rates sat at 0% so what we're watching at this very moment is a squeeze on existing coupons decreasing their value as rates increase and new coupons are issued. I don't think a short squeeze is actually possible under these current market conditions and fiscal policy.

I loved the wheat snack bread. Also the veggie crackers were surprisingly good with the picante sauce.

I heard the USDOD hired very talented chefs to make MREs very delicious.

I've had the Canadian equivalent from the 90's... Not great, but I imagine when you are pinned down and starving, even dirt will do.

But the horror stories from my grandfather: Polish Free Army and left over British rations in 1944.

We need more atm cats

I use my snackbread for PBJ sandiches, they work well. Government peanut butter kept me going as a kid so it's nostalgic

The newer Canadian ones are some if the best now, they look tasty. I know the US ones finally made shelf stable pizza and that'll be out soon.

Oy vey

Ok people...

Morning watch:
VXRT
DARE
OGEN

All looking good for open. Though we still have 38 minutes to go.

Also watching 4-week, 10-year, cable, yen, RBOB, and platinum.

I'm no longer remotely involved with the CMOD, so I don't even know where to get these new MREs. I used to get some back in the day, though fruit really was the only good thing.

Attached: official.jpg (640x464, 59K)

This JUSTtenning is gonna continue, isn't it?

I bought a $NOC call yesterday then the market decided to crash right after. With aerospace & defense taking the one of the biggest hits.

Attached: goodnight.png (426x364, 10K)

There's some third party web stores, I know there's one specific one that allows you to buy individual US MRE components like the bread, entrees, and the cheese/peanut butter

Can I get a rundown on this? Will the bond interest rates go higher? If so, any idea when? I'm thinking of cashing out now before all my gains from 12 months evaporate

Attached: M7PMqAq.gif (642x371, 3.29M)

Are you bond bears monitoring US10YT=RR to get your entry/exit points ?

Basically they move fractions of a percent every day, and they're just going to trend up all year.

Fug :D

Looks like I'm cashing out today then, will be monitoring the interest rates. Thanks senpai

But .... am short spy....

Me meme wave trading lines tell bonds about explode!!

Attached: TLT_CNBC.jpg (520x303, 35K)

I still don't have options on RH. It's probably for the best because my weak hands will just panic.
If I were still a NEET I could do memelines and maybe make money. Instead I'm looking for things to hodl and I'm probably screwed.

Attached: 65881638_p0.png (400x400, 51K)

Exactly, bonds are going to explode. This lowers the value of the existing bonds in circulation. These are the bonds we are selling now.

Look at it this way. You buy a 10- year note that gets 2% a year for 10 years and it costs $100. Tomorrow the rate goes to 3%, so why would anybody pay you $100 for your 10 year note when they can get a fresh one that will yield the extra 1%. The only way to get out of that note early is to sell it for less than $100. This is the beauty in the whole short bonds meme.

DARE about to halt.

Attached: 1524595006105.jpg (633x758, 33K)

So I was wrong; no halt... 200 shares @ $1.01. Out at $1.30. $38 profit after commissions. Not terrible, but not great.

Oh fuck yea bud

Attached: Screenshot_20180425-084502.png (1080x1920, 92K)

Just crash my shit up pham

>decide to pick some up at yesterdays weakness
>Still getting BTFO right now along with all of defense

The war really was priced in wasn't it?

Attached: 1521748789936.png (791x363, 199K)

Anything else? Is $38 going to be my morning? Low-floaters look bad today. I really don't want to trade FX this morning.

Never.
Welcome to the bear market.

It seems the meme of this earning season is to simply go short every company that publishes its results.

youtu.be/sShMA85pv8M

stocks literally always recover. You have to be a big pussy bitch faggot to sell anything. That's how the jews get you by getting the goyim to sell. You see a stock falling 20% and you're like well I gotta sell or I lose everything because you are a faggot pussy and not a real investor. REAL investors don't worry about dips at all because I' playing the long game ten-20 years ahead while you are a pleb speculator who will inevitably get wiped the fuck out.

the November calls are dirt cheap because that is the usually when it is the lowest.

Buy July calls

kek
how much money have you lost eternal bull?
