thanks
how common are mexican flags in the us, though? seriously

>move out of my country because its shit
>run my old country's flag and act proud of it
why do third worlders do this?

A lot of Americans are still hostile (and very openly) towards immigrants, so it's more a display of racial/ethnic pride then anything. That being said, if you live in a warm, welcoming community and still put 0 effort into assimilating and meeting people outside your family/ethnic group you are retarded.

Portugal is there

where?

Way too fucking common. You could walk down my street and here nothing but spanish and see nothing but mexican flags. it’s insane. we’re all CHIs here

You think you're bantering us, but only Mexicans care about soccer to begin with.

there

common in california

i thought louisiana was racist

cool :3
where do you live? are chi's watching the world cup?

Decently common. I don't think every Mexican family puts a Mexican flag on their front lawn, but some do. I've never seen one on a car like OP though.

strange
i would have thought it would be in massachusetts or rhode island

hostile? where? not here in the midwest

You know Louisiana is "the French state" to everyone else, right?

that was a joke about the ethnic composition of the french team and the stereotype of american deep southerners

they haven't seen your squad kek

It's just world cup banter m8. I love america more but I have a mexico jersey. This one looked nice

> midwest.
That's cause there are barely any mexican immigrants there. Get into the southern border and you'll see what he means

I live in a city called Rialto
And yeah, our living room is crazy wild, everybody is drinking and there’s some m80s going off from our neighbor’s kids down the street. I’m just glad I get some grill and drinks :3

I bought some pan dulce in San Fernando a few hours ago and there were many cars with Mexican flags and they were honking at each other.

CHI

Itlay isn't in the wc. Newark (a nj city) is fully of moortuguese. The Portuguese in new jersey also own a lot of farmer markets and bakeries.

Not him but here in Miami everyone is fucking crazy about the world cup. Only cubans don't care much about football but most latinos are rooting for mexico or their national teams, Colombia, Argentina, etc. Lots of people are celebrating today. Mexican has never beaten Germany before in the world cup. Not even in the friendlies I think.

maybe a bumper sticker, I see their soccer team flags/stickers a lot more though.

>m80s
wot? are you in nevada or something

Whyyyyyyy
SHITico betrayed us and lost against fucking Honduras while we saved their asses in the 2014 qualifiers against panama.
Fucking traitors

>Mexico jersey
>upside down Hungarian flag

im sure that was in the mind of everyone.

I see more mexican flags here than I did when I went to mexico.

I’m in California. You should be here during Christmas and the fourth of july.

This.

sounds /comfy/. do you guys still speak spanish?
desu i thought chi's didn't care much for football anymore
are there mexicans in florida?

>Egypt
wat

Yes tons of Mexicans in Southern Florida. They are everywhere in Florida but mostly in the South. Northern Florida is more like the deep south but everywhere south of orlando is a latino country.

Our fucking coach is trash. He needs to be fired already. Also Mexico is the only team on this side of the world that hasn't embarrassed us in front of the euros. That said Mexico did fuck us I can't deny. Hopefully a wakeup call to the rest of the team.

what happens when there are mexico vs us matches? who do chi's support?

I actually think Louisiana was historically less racist than the other southern states due to its French heritage.

spics are the worst

Yeah we have to speak spanish to my grandparents and my uncle and aunt, and with everyone else it’s this weird thing where we start in english and randomly switch between spanish and english, or like say a full sentence in english but use spanish to emphasize it. it’s really weird

>Have a childhood friend who died last week
>As it turns out, she was Mexican and I didnt even know because she had no accent and her mum barely spoke
>had to postpone the funeral for 2 weeks so they could fly in her family
>One half of her family looks like they run cartels, the other half is white Americans straight from Farmerville

I thought this race mixing thing was a meme. I'm also surprised Mexicans even came here in the first place, I've never seen one before that day.

does race mixing not happen in australia?

i like spanglish desu

kys it's just a match, we haven't won yet

Based

I'm surprised I even saw 1 white American let alone half the family seeing as they were coming from Mexico, not the US

you sound retarded

How many americans like the soccer?

>we start in english and randomly switch between spanish and english, or like say a full sentence in english but use spanish to emphasize it. it’s really weird
I didn't want this feel

My dad only wears a Mexican soccer team shirt on days the national team plays games. He thinks the shirt is good luck.

but we almost always lose

mexico will win the cup

not many

we had a thread about that. most support mexico just for fun even those who feel american. that's not a big deal really, no need to read much into that. it is like cinco de mayo, just having a little fun.

that's because of his dad wearing the mexican camisa. or camiseta i forgot.

>Yes tons of Mexicans in Southern Florida

They must be in Miami or West Palm Beach cause I've lived in South Florida ( Bro ward ) my whole life and Mexicans were basically non existent here.

why mexicans in the us celebrate cinco de mayo instead of independence day? or is that celebrated, too?

camiseta is t-shirt. camisa is shirt.

how did they get there?

Yeah that's why its funny.

Nobody I know actually celebrates that. Its just another St Patrick's day. Most people use that day as an excuse to get drunk. Also my parents dont celebrate Day of the Dead. The only thing I've seen them do is some religious celebrations/rituals revolving the Virgin of Guadalupe.

>Lose huge civil war that was only about the establishment of a Slave Republic
>slob around flying ole dixie on your shitheap
why do 56% white people do this?

>never seen one before that day
since you had a childhood friend who was mexican and had no clue you probably have worked or gone to school with them without knowing.
basically you sound clueless and if that makes life easier for you and the people around you, good.

Cinco de mayo is celebrated with a shit fuck ton of annoyingly loud fireworks as is the 4th of July. we basically have two identities

but why cinco de the mayo and not september 15th
>revolving the virgin of guadalupe
idk about these

because most of the older CHIs don’t know english whatsoever and just call it that and we know it as that for the rest of our lives. they haven’t really integrated at all. you can walk into any store here and only speak spanish and navigate your entire day.

Its Mexican Catholic stuff. My parents are really religious.
inside-mexico.com/our-lady-of-guadalupe/

what does them knowing only spanish have to do with cinco de mayo, though

i'm sure they know what the the independence day is if they're from mexico

i wonder if chi's in the us as a whole are more religious than mexicans in mexico or it's basically the same

Probably about the same I think It gets washed down after generations like Christianity. However I think many of the Mexicans that come here are from really religious rural areas.

I went to a CHI church this weekend, I think they had first communion or something and one kid's first communion outfit was a pure white suit and a little white sombrero and gloves. Too adorable
