don't get the meme, wages in USA are higher than most of the developed world's and those fields in particular would pay more here than elsewhere.

'Oh shit, they're paying a whole 3.20... I better not mess this up. Thankfully papi always made sure we spoke spanish at home.'

at least you can get $20 an hour moving shit around at woolies or kmart

if you got 2 degrees and can only pull that you deserve everything bad that's coming to you

A hard working (8 hours a day) burger flipper in US will make as much money in a month as I will once I finish med school
Think about it, we live in a

Stop not being rich.

>an aussie complaining about low wages
kajkajkaj you're playing on easy mode, be thankful for it

¡ No es normal ! No se necessite ver si gordita habla Español, no vamos a trabajar con una ballena.

Indian doctors make a killing if you can market yourself

>we live in a
You okay they, Dr. Rashput?

>$20 an hour
what fence do i have to jump for this

what is cost of living

I get $26 an hour being a kitchen hand. I also once worked in vehicle manufacturing for $33 an hour

just get a working holiday and live in a cheap flat share while you work. you'll leave aus in a year with $20000

i have a lucky friend who works as helper in contruction shit and can get up to 60€ a day
life is also cheap here so i guess it adds up more. i could easily eat for 5€ a day or less

>I get $26 an hour being a kitchen hand. I also once worked in vehicle manufacturing for $33 an hour
Holy fuck.

My life is shit and will always be in this shihole country.

i'm literally seething senpai

damn she´s so fucking ugly

>life is also cheap here so i guess it adds up more. i could easily eat for 5€ a day or less
Thats true, its not the cheapest here. I wouldnt say you could eat for $5 a day, more like $15 or $20.

Do not worry friends, things will get better sooner or later

I make $20 an hour for moving boxes + another 1.50 an hour if I get enough good boy points by being efficient.

i had the same job and i only made $2 an hour

Do you need any experience for those kinds of jobs?
Isn't your housing very expensive?
Do Australians look down upon people doing these jobs like Americans with Mexicans?

That sucks man, this job sucks way too much to make so little

yeah everythings insanely expensive, beer smokes, i live in a city of 100k and if i moved out of my parents it would cost $100 a week for the shittiest share house room.

no their entry level jobs its just thats minimum wage for adults. For fast food jobs its mostly underage kids you can pay less.
the only problem is with such high wages and cost of living theres not many jobs because we also have the rich devaluing labour with immigration and moving stuff overseas, killing unions and normal wage cutting shit they do in the west so the job markets fucked

>A dual degree in engineering and molecular science?
You confused it with gender studies and degree in French poetry.

>Do you need any experience for those kinds of jobs?
It really depends, some companies will just outright hire any foreigner if it means they can underpay you without you noticing. If you know what the award rates are for the job, then maybe some experience to sway them might be needed.

>Isn't your housing very expensive?
Its a city to city basis. Melbourne and Sydney are pretty expensive, but I know that some hostels and backpacker inns have secret agreements where if you stay with them, they guarantee you a job with a nearby company like food picking or food processing, its shit tier and probably pays badly, but you'll have somewhere near the work to stay thats really cheap

>Do Australians look down upon people doing these jobs like Americans with Mexicans?
Not really, most Australians dont even know those jobs exist. I have a factory I worked at one suburb over that hired hundreds of backpackers a year for contracts and I didnt even know it was out there let alone that they were hiring internationals to do the shitty work.
