No but I have a friend who does and he's going to open a restaurant. He's only 22 so that's super impressive, although he did get a lot of help from his rich family.

Will you help him as a sous chef?

No, I have my own studies to take care of, and we're not too close anymore unfortunately. Also I can't cook lol

How does Finland do it? Even with all it's flaws it still manages to maintain a level of quality far above the other flags on this boards

It is never too late to learn. Cooking is fun

Dont be sad :(

You can do it if you follow the recipe

Can't cook any traditional foods for real, but manage to cook simpler foods, pasta and shit though.

Its a pretty high stress job man. Doesn't really seem worth it to earn slightly over or under the median wage while having a massive breakdown every 5 years

>Finland still triggered about being a nothing worlder

I used to.

I learned most of the basics in the restaurant. Creative applications came later... now I help cater events for friends, but for the most part I avoid professional kitchens - might was well just join the army for the injury to pay ratio.

I can get that. Especially if you are under Gordon Ramsay.

How is it like at professional restaurants? Any story to share?

I worked under a couple of Ramsay wannabes. Like fuck dude, if you choose to run short staffed, and scream about ten minute wait times when the place is jammed like it is every other fucking Friday night of the year, what can you really expect other than really high staff turnaround?

I'm sure there are great places to work - with reasonable pay, reasonably sane hours, and at least semi-likeable staff - but I've never worked at one of those places, just sweatshops for food.

A crowded restaurant with a Ramsay wannabe sounds like hell on earth to me. Everyone's in a mad rush to get orders out. Anyone can see that even at a busy McD.

If it is not too crowded, I can imagine it wouldnt be that hectic

Say what you want Gordon has the world by the balls and doesn't look like he's going to let go

I wont want to work under him but he's certainly someone who has skill from years under stressful conditions and entertaining to watch blow up
