This is the construction site of Costa Vista owned by Manuel B. Villar, Jr husband of Senator Cynthia Villar.
vistaresidences.com.(ph(/home/property/costavistaboracay

This excavation is in the hillside above Punta Bunga beach and next to Shangri La. This is the area where the flying foxes live. Look up "Friends of the flying foxes" on Facebook. This is a group led by foreigners who are trying to get the area protected. It is already a protected area in some ways (sorry I don't have details on that) but Shangri La, Altavista and Ecovillage (the irony!) had been allowed to build in that area. Cimatu supposedly supports declaring the site a "critical habitat" so it's difficult to understand why this construction is still ongoing.

They built the swimming pool already which can be seen in this video at 1:34. Too bad the excavation works aren't on the satellite images yet.

hmmmm.....interesting

Before, during, and after the construction of the BNPP, this power plant was surrounded by controversy. From President Marcos's connection to Westinghouse, to the dispute of General Electric and Westinghouse, to issues of following protocol during and after construction, the BNPP faced many issues that led to criminal charges being brought against Westinghouse. The whole controversy was described in detail by Dumaine two years after the plant's completion.

One of the biggest controversies was the Marcos connection with Westinghouse. First, Marcos requested that National Power Co. (the government owned electric utility) negotiate a deal to buy two nuclear reactors. Westinghouse used connections to Marcos to strike the deal. Already known to be more expensive than other options, the Westinghouse contract jumped from $650 million for only one reactor to $2.2 billion. Later, evidence of large sums of money going to President Marcos himself was found. Westinghouse denied corruption accusations.

Another controversy was how Westinghouse was able to gain the contract over General Electric. It is documented that National Power was negotiating with General Electric before Westinghouse came into the picture. However, once the connections between Westinghouse and the Marcos regime were established by Hermino Disini, a friend of the president himself, General Electric appeared to be strung along, as thought they were still in contention even though they actually were not. There is documentation that contract negotiations began before General Electric could pitch its proposal to the government.

I wonder what happened
pesoreserve.com/2013/10/corruption-linked-to-21-billion-bataan.html

However, in its ruling, the SC said even if Disini was a private individual, he can be prosecuted by the Sandiganbayan since the Presidential Commission on Good Government who filed the case against him was allowed by law "to recover ill-gotten wealth and this covered Marcos' immediate family, relatives, subordinates, without distinction as to their private or public status."

Disini was charged with a case for corruption of public officials in 2004 for pushing for the construction of the mothballed $2.1-billion Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.

He was also charged with a case for violation of the Anti-Graft Law when he allegedly used his connection to then President Ferdinand E. Marcos to request and receive from the Burns and Roe, contractors of the Philippine Nuclear Power Plant in Bataan, $17 million for obtaining the construction contract, which, if not for Marcos' intervention would have been awarded to someone else.

This a good read
among the techniques by which the Marcoses acquired and safeguarded ill-gotten wealth were:

1. Creation of monopolies in certain vital industries and placing them under the control of Marcos cronies or associates.

2. Awarding of loans by government banking or financing institutions to favored individuals, with little or no collateral, at the behest of Marcos or Ms Marcos.

3. Takeover by Marcos relatives or associates of large public or private enterprises with nominal amounts as consideration.

4. Direct raid on the public treasury and government financing institutions. For instance, intelligence funds were disbursed for the trips of Ms Marcos.

5. Issuance of presidential decrees and orders to favor certain individuals and enterprises to enable them to amass wealth for the joint benefit of these individuals and the Marcoses.

6. Kickbacks and commissions from firms or enterprises doing business in the Philippines.

7. Use of shell corporations and dummy companies to launder money and invest in real estate in such places as New York, California and Hawaii.

8. Skimming of foreign aid and other forms of international assistance.

Days before her birthday celebration, Imelda Marcos appeared in public without her glittering jewels and cried that she was practically penniless. This, from a woman who said in December 1998, We own practically everything in the Philippines.

We have seen, from the way people gushed over Imelda at her recent birthday celebration, that many of them have forgotten what happened during the Conjugal Dictatorship. When shall we end our state of denial? When shall we stop idolizing those who have wronged and betrayed us and regain our sense of right and wrong and exact justice from those who have committed crimes against the nation?

Hey guys, where did you buy your game console? Last time I bought PS2 at Plaza Shah Alam a decade ago. Thinking of buying a PS3 now.

Bought Xbox360 way cheap from my friend since he has too many of them. Haven't played anything since AC verdict day years ago and now lost it somewhere in my house.
Bloody From Software enough of the Souls series already where is AC6?
