Is it just me or does anyone else find Chinese history very boring?

It's mostly just dynasties collapsing, horrible civil wars, and foreign invasions on repeat for 3000 years.

Pretty much, which is why I find it weird OP finds that boring. Don't forget the decisive Tang victory that ended with 20,000 civilians being cannibalized.

But that's kind of the point. European history is far more interesting than the same unending loop of civil wars and dynastic collapses.

>implying euro history isn't also full of the same thing
A lot more nuance in Europe maybe.

>claiming that the European history isn't full of devastating wars

Europe also has other nations to fight and actually stand a chance fighting against, colonization, industrialization, fascism, Napoleon, Rome, (real) communism, nifty advancements in political theory, esotericism, complex religious history, etc.

ching ling ding dong fought pong ping ping pong over an autistic dispute and caused 20 million peasants to die from war/famine. Repeat for 3000 years.

Chinese history is them being BTFO by everyone and themselves until today.

Actually I think it's quite interesting, but there's a lack of decent English language sources. For comparison, Japan has a far less interesting history than China but it's been milked to death by weebs.

You did not cry when the duke of wen attacked the duke of chou during the dang dynasty directly after the ching chong rebellion?

With his army of 100,000 peasants who butchered and cannibalized each other.

What, user, you don't find Liuqu who sieged the 17 billion man city of Guangping and blew away the 1,500,000 defenders with a single Zhuguang lightning palm strike fascinating?

>Taiping Rebellion
>some autist claims to the second coming of Jesus or some fucked up shit like that
>starts a civil war that kills 30 million people
Raw.

Now the CCP suppresses religious sects like Falun Gong because they're afraid that stuff like this will happen again.

Yum.

Japanese history is kind of neat but hard to get into because the names are fucking hard to pronounce.

You mean when they're spelled in alphabet form? They're easy as hell that way. It's Chinese that's hard. Watch more anime.

It's too bad something as complex as Japanese history has been reduced to a few weeb memes about guys running around fighting with meme swords.

You missed the best part
>family saves up money from 3 GENERATIONS to take government test
>NEET fails 3 times and does what an incel does

Then he thought he was Jesus’s brother because he read about Christianity from a fucking pamphlet.

Taiping Rebellion has always fascinated me. Chinese dude claims to be the younger brother of Jesus Christ after failing the imperial examination for the 4th time and having a nervous breakdown. Claims that God Game to him in a vision and gave him a dragon sword and told him to drive the demons out of China.
Absolutely mental, innit?

Japanese history is pretty much the same, insular power with literally countless civil wars + only a few wars with outsiders for thousands of years until the arrival of Europeans. Though I personally find pre-modern Japanese history fascinating, there certainly were many more inter-state conflicts and religious wars in Europe which makes European history perhaps more interesting to study. I think in the end it all comes down to relative isolation.

The fact that Europeans also created worldwide empires which none of the Asian states did.

well, I'm not sure if China ever felt any need to expand beyond their sizeable clay anyway, perhaps Siberia nonwithstanding

Korea and Vietnam, now that's boring history.

>get invaded by someone and destroyed every once in a while
>spend decades/centuries in between invasions sitting around growing rice

Not even any good civil wars/cannibalism.

fuck you
