Gorgeous for tourists, you still get ripped off by Romans but not as much as in Venice, the art and monuments are top tier.
But if you stay for more than a couple weeks or, worse, live there, it's a shithole. Niggers and gypsies everywhere, and I mean everywhere, trash in the streets and in the stations, the public transport is a joke and there's no law on the street, every car does whatever the fuck it wants.

Public transporation sucks compared to other european cities, but meh, in the end it still feels like a "home" to me despite having never lived there. There's something magical about walking through piazza Navona and the Bernini fountains.

I never understood how the Rome metro was so vandalized. It seemed every train car was absolutely coated in graffiti. Even the interior windows, seats and floor. I felt bad for the average Roman commuter. It must be depressing to see that everyday

it's certainly true that rome has its share of 'ethnics' these days, and it's a shame to see mosques having sprouted up in europe's holiest city, but by and large it's got all of the charm you expect

history-wise it's almost too good, you end up frustrated at not being able to see everything

It's a pretty chaotic place, the only way to move fairly well is public transport and/or foot, because bikes get reaped and cars are everywhere but there are no parking spacess and so you basically can never stop.

I honestly haven't seen all that many immigrants.
