Well well... Its finally come to this

Well well... Its finally come to this.
Lets take a moment to say a heartfelt goodbye to all the Europeans on this board.
After this law gets passed (and it will get passed - be honest with yourselves - probably around about 29th March 2019) we will have to ban European users from coming to this website. After all, for them to stay we'd effectively have to remove image posting altogether. Who's side do you think Japanese moot would take?
But I'm not here to gloat. I dont even remember those german flags mocking me when we voted to leave the EU. Poor euros, you have my deepest sympathies. :(

As if it doesn't apply to the UK. Britain hasn't left the EU just yet, a return to the EU is actually pretty likely and even then soft Brexit is the most likely scenario.

I expected smug reactions and rightfully so, but not from Britain. You're in an even shittier boat than the rest of Europe with your London moped ban.

Remember when people said that the internet was going to get destroyed in the USA and then nothing happened at all?

Same thing. People always scream and shit their pants and then nothing happens. Think of how much has changed overall in your quality of life over the last 2 years--for me, its gotten a little better, mostly hasnt' changed at all. According to the media, the whole world is on fire and the internet is gone and blah blah blah blah. Nope.

anyone know if there is anyway we can fight against this?

put on an anonymoose mask and sperg out on the streets

My heart aches for those poor downtrodden Europeans. Especially the ones who were celebrating the net neutrality decision.

While I don't support this kind of bullshittery, the world might be better of without the internet alltogether.

we just have to draw our own memes
i'm copywriting this btw

No. NO.

It is morally justifiable to murder every motherfucker who votes for censorship.

ah yes the e""""u""""
the last bastion of free speech , human rights and stuff
:^)
bye

good, this faginfected shithole needs be burned to the ground

pay debnts faggot

Will be hilarious when the EU bans their own bootlickers (especially G*rmans and Fr*nch) from spreading their hasbara on 4chinz

i thought you epic Jow Forums internet aficionados knew about hacking and all that, shouldn't be too hard to get around this

kys alboroach

Funny when it's not our gov do retarded things.

I hope governments start to get more restricting on the internet so that we can go full cyberpunk.

>the flavor of the month "internet is kill" law
Nothing is going to happen. Again.

>t. 19 year old boomer concerned with "A E S T H E T I C"

>all content uploaded to the internet to be monitored and potentially deleted

Will janny finally get paid?

This won't just affect European countries. It will affect all websites abailable in European countries.

Those Cookie consent messages you get pestered with every time you enter a website? That's an EU thing.

ahahahahahahahahahahaha

I hope you know that almost every EU sceptic party supports this law

you should be happy that you could finally be free of this place

Just rise up and fight for your rights bro, you'd have to leave your room for that though.

eurosceptic is mostly right wing or totally irrelevant and miniscule gommie parties,
memes are largely a tool of the right wing, i highly doubt the right will censor their own

I am accepting all autistic European refugees at my large piece of land north of the white mountains in New Hampshire. In order to qualify, you must be able to work in some capacity that contributes to the homestead.

came here to post this. i'm willing to make my own reaction pics

it's an official commission proposal btw
>The Commission has come under fire for the two controversial measures. Its original proposal introduced the new publishers’ license for online news snippets and recommended that it last 20 years. The version of the bill approved by the JURI Committee suggested five-year-long licenses.

This, nothing ever comes out of any of these

Well it seems like they do you basically said it yourself

>eurosceptic is mostly right wing

...

Did you get an official license from Microsoft to publish works made in their MSPaint platform?

No? Banned from the internet then.

kek

For the 900000001th fucking time, the law's text doesn't say anything unequivocable about copyright and tkedowns and shit. Stop memeing.

>Stop memeing
It's already manifesting in our subconsciousness

>a return to the EU is actually pretty likely
LMAO
If - and that's a big IF - we actually leave, no chance in hell sonny jim.

You guys realize that the EU is stopping the UK from enacting way stricter legislation right? You are aware that the UK already has the reputation of a surveillance state?
