I like Rome myself, public transport is rather cheap (if not always reliable), lots of places to go to, not particularily expensive to live in (excpet when it comes to rent, but oh well) and reasonably clean.

In the southern part there is literally a desert of unemployment, rural agriconomy and mafia still working his way on taking decisions about his own landscapes, making the statal influence every day lower.

tourist city, very crowded. Beautiful old churches, river and historical sites, nice people, buildings and road in need of renovation and repair. Wouldnt say the inside of the duomo lived up to how cool the outside was, but the architechture is breathtaking even if you know nothing about it. Shitty nightclubs, good bars. Somewhat expensive, but its a big city. Airport is not very good

Its a segway to get to florence. The church near the tower is very interesting, too many tourist shops on the main road, people are nice enough. Nice airport

Area by the station is kind of sketchy. Got asked if I wanted to buy drugs and high schoolers/college students thought I was italian, though Im sure it was a joke. Some interesting sites to see, couldnt find the college the brief time I was there

beautiful, surprised to find gondola rides were so expensive. Fun to go down small streets away from the crowds, found some cozy little restaurants that way. Sea taxis were really neat, there's a beautiful art gallery by the accademia.

The Po is very relaxing to sit by, it has a ncie long park you can walk through, the mole theater is really cool, and it snows in the winter, so its fun to walk through other parks and see the snow covering everything. People were really nice, you could see the alps form some places, and the FIAT factory was cool to see
