she is cute tho

>walking by a school and hearing fireworks in the distance which triggers a psychotic PTSD episode
YEAH KILLEM

I don't fucking get it, these guys who were just regular cannonfodder marines, 99% of them never kill anyone, or see anything bad happen, most of them just carry around heavy shit from spot A to spot B and go on patrols looking at rocks.
What are you getting PTSD from you fucking faggot?
I would get it if a guy who was a ranger or a seal or MARSOC or something got PTSD because they are actually in danger of dying for real and they kill people for real got they never seem to get any sort of mental problems from doing their job.
Seems to me the regular army and marines are just pussies who need to grow a pair

My great-grandfather was in WW1, he was under constant heavy artillery barrages for weeks, had to charge on the barren slopes of Monte Grappa under Austrian machine gun fire, lost an arm to a mortar shell, and he didn't act like a little bitch about the whole thing, rather he helped fighting off German occupiers in WW2, what the hell is wrong with Americans?

Hnnng American girls are so qt.

>tfw no Ameriqt gf

I love his beady black eyes and black hair, really fits the mutt image

I feel so incredibly sorry for anyone who gets sent to flight for corporate interests.

They all collectively got PTSD when Burger King and Pizza Hut got taken away from their Afghan Military bases :)

Yeah this is what i don't get. The dudes in special forces who go out in squads without air support or backup risking their lives and killing people regularly seem to pass it off as another day on the job but these regular marines see an IED go off and suddenly they are mentally scarred for life.
Get that shit out of here

He's about to MUTT that wh*Toid

>America effortlessly brings civilization to a region even the Genghis Khan would balk at

beautiful

I know someone who was in the air force and had PTSD from his base getting mortars launched at it every night

Isn't the air force just a bunch of brainiacs who don't fight?

There are air force bases in the middle east that have been sieged before

mortars and rockets, on more than one occasion a missile met its mark on those bases, but the launching points and cretins responsible were always obliterated regardless

That doesn't change the fact that getting sent to live and work in a place surrounded by hostile people is stressful. The prolonged stress is the issue, not necessarily the high levels of stress

The SF guys are "hunters" and there is some psychological dynamic where the stress of going out on patrols and feeling more like the "hunted" traumatizes a person

And I got my PTSD from my parent's lel.
Didn't neet to ravage the world for this

>regular cannonfodder marines, 99% of them never kill anyone, or see anything bad happen, most of them just carry around heavy shit from spot A to spot B and go on patrols looking at rocks.
>What are you getting PTSD from you fucking faggot?
Entirely false. My cousin was a marine and was going to re-up until his last tour when he was redeployed for two months in Afghanistan including multi day battles and then he didn't want to be in the Marines anymore and when he first came back he was fine but is now having problems.

Yeah, i guess the only thing that separates regular marines from SF is mentality.

Yes and I'm sure you heard the truth first hand. They used to lie about that shit.

They have to worry about
mortars
artillerry
ambushes
snipers
IED's, road side bombs, car bombs
booby traps
mines
"friendly" troops shooting them
disease
and watching your friends get fucked up, then you might have to play medic depending on your situation

9 to 12 months of this isn't fun

>Isn't the air force just a bunch of brainiacs
Lol no. I know some dumb one's.
>Who don't fight?
More or less but they still get mortars shot at their bases in war zones. They also have forward air controllers and a special ops group that is supposed to rescue pilots.

Yeah, I'm sure tat his medals and mangled arm were just really convincing fakes

their fault for being dumb enough to sign up

Well still, if i got some soft job as guardian a base i would be fucking set, sound great.
You have food and rest just behind you, state of the art defence systems, SAM air defence, radar, air support, ammuniton a plenty etc.
Seems like a dream compared to being dropped off with your buddies in the middle of nowhere with your squad being told ''Good luck'' and only having comms with people 4-5 hours away''

brazilian probably lead more dangerous lives than the average US airforce guy

American SF guys are usually psychopaths who will shoot anybody when given the order.

Average infantry are just guys from humble backgrounds who just came out of high school. Seeing your friend being shredded to pieces can cause guilty, survivor guilt to be more specific, they don't feel like they deserve to continue living anymore because their friend is gone. Some copycat suicides happen because of this too.

Prolonged stress is bad for your mental state regardless of who had it harder

>Yeah, I'm sure tat his medals and mangled arm were just really convincing fakes
I'm talking about them admitting to PTSD. My grandfather fought from North Africa to the end under Patton and had three bronze stars (his brother died in Italy). He never complained about PTSD or the war but he never talked to his kids about combat and he did weird shit like stay up late, drinking alone and wasn't known as the nicest husband or father.

My great grandad got his leg blown off in ww1 and lost his only brother a year later in france then my grandad got hit in the face by shrapnel in ww2 when his ship got torpedoed he had a vicious scar across his forehead then his brother died in 1944 in Italy I have one brother if ww3 ever happens it's 50/50 we are both fucked

lol this.

our veterans for the falklands war were more traumatized about how our army officer treated them than how the british troops treat them after surrender.

a lot of veteran say that the brits treat them better than the argie oficers
