Does your country's population want the USA to rule the world as the only major power, or does it want the new world order based on classic competition of empires?
Here in Poland we would love the USA to be the only empire in the world like it was shortly after winning the cold war, and we would like to see everybody else, like Europe, Russia or China to be dead or American slaves. A perspective of coming back to XX century tier world is a horror for us, something that we will have to face with great cost, like remilitarisation of society and coming back to old geopolitical games that we hoped to forget forever yet a decade or two ago.
Russia obviously prefers the multipolar world because it has nukes, strong army and not-so-small population.

The USA may not always be perfect on their foreign policy, but at least it's the West and I think they are better to run the world than any other Western nation.

It is not always about dying like during WW2 war. Even having strong army and nukes is enough to achieve goals without beginning the war every often - through pressure and gaining economical privileges from scared countries. War is always risky, you never know how it ends when you begin it, so it is the last possibility, and it is launched usually in result of miscalculation.

the us is too entrenched in it's own issues and projects them onto everyone else whenever they play world police if we're going to go unipolar I'd rather have someone that actually understands me and my people, and I know that the us wouldn't like that, let alone china or whatever it justs so follows that for everyone to be happy the world would have to be multipolar, which won't stay happy for long as each power would soon enough try to gain undue control and fuck shit up again there is no winning move, and thus no reason to really care
that said, people here used to point their fingers at the us for every evil, and while now it's mostly the eu and germany that's being pointed at, us resentment is not gone yet
