The Syrian Orthodox Church (both the Syrian and Indian branches) are monophysite and are in communion with the Coptic Church.

as for russia, i do actually think that most of the influence of islamic architecture did come from persia. in a couple of centuries prior to st basils being built, you had mongol/turkic rulers from genghis&co to temerlane who established influential centers of power in central asia and persia, like samarkand. i mean look at those domes, i definitely see some central asian turkic influence there
