if you be my bf I will teach you perfect english

but you have to teach me spanish because my parents never did

puta

Spanish is one of the easiest languages in the world, and there are so many resources for it. You have no excuse tbqh, even if your parents failed you.

what if I just want a bf

Same.No matter how perfect my writting is my pronunciation will never be flawless,an american/british knows right away that I am a foreigner

>wanting to pass as a local in the US

Do you want to learn some Russian?

yes

but I do not wish to live in russia

What about Portugal

Just take me to the states

why do you people care about *speaking* english? fucking normies

i just want to be able to read and listen to Japanese, not interact with people from a different country

>but I do not wish to live in russia
And people say americans are dumb

You just need Spanish to do that

How come all of Ruusiya outside Moscow and St Petersburg is South America tier?

I'm at that where i doon't have an accent to be immediately identified as a foreigner, but i'm not fluent enough to sound completely native.
I'm afraid people think that i'm retarded or have some kind of speech impediment.

I rather have an accent.

>all of Ruusiya
Not all
Millions of Russians live better than millions of Americans

Who cares if you don't speak a perfect English? People don't care about pronunciation, as long as they understand you. Speaking 2 languages, even if one of them is poor still makes you better in that matter than 95%+ of Americans. Plus women loooove accents.

why would I want to live in russia if I already don't like the states

>I'm at that where i doon't have an accent to be immediately identified as a foreigner
I strongly doubt that, any native English speaker without severe autism would be able to tell a non-native English speaker in the first sentence unless the person has been living in the US for decades and has gone out of their way to mask their accent

Overcentralization. A lot of companies that work in different regions have their headquarters registered in Moscow, so that's where they pay taxes.

>Plus women loooove accents.
Not russian. And who cares, we are all gay on this board.

does this confuse you?

Real advice for med English speakers, learn more verbs than "take."

>Millions of Russians live better than millions of Americans
Only if you’re talking about the millions of middle to upper class Russians that live better than the millions of Jamals and Julios in America

so what? you'll never be "perfect" in anything really

most people find accent english to be cute

there is no need to feel insecure

>People don't care about pronunciation, as long as they understand you
Having a noticeable accent is a legitimate cause of worry. Like you said, some people may be into that, but having an accent also paints you as a foreigner the moment you open your mouth - your written English could be bang on, but spoken?
Some people, especially those who haven't really had the opportunity to talk with native speakers would feel kinda intimidated when talking with one - and they'd not just have an accent, but they wouldn't be able to talk right. They'd become shy and possibly even submissive, and leave the native speaker to lead the conversation. That probably wouldn't happen when two foreigners that each have an accent of their own are speaking in English, but pitted against a native speaker, I don't think I could help but have performance anxiety about it.
I am a worrywart and I'm more than well aware of that, but talking with a native is up there on the list of things that make me uneasy as fuck. Probably because I haven't had had any experience speaking besides speaking with the odd tourists that occasionally pass by here.

Nobody in Canada considers whites foreigners.

Maybe. But I'm not a WASP, I'm not Germanic, and nor do I come from a country with prestige. I'm just a random schmuck from the Balkans.
As well-behaved I might be, I think I'd think that I'd always be an unwelcome outsider, even if you don't personally feel that way. Maybe things are more lax over in Canada and the US, but I don't think this'd fly anywhere in Europe.

Here everyone will think you are russian, and I don't think anyone has a problem with russians aside from thinking they are all spies.

I legitimately don't think anyone here would care, you are just "european" and that's good enough for most people.

you really just have to master the TH, R and T sounds, the rest is just picking up on mannerisms and lingo, like for instance the british don't sound the R in words like "fork"
