>get sued
What does it actually do. Couldn't get a clear answer.
>used to hate the EU
>they're banning memes
wtf i love the EU now
Did you read V for Vendetta? Well, the EU is going to end up like that.
>Pepes will now actually be rare
Not much.
Firstly, most companies don't have the time nor ressources to track down all the copyrighted material that exists on the internet. That's why piracy exists in the first place, desu. Secondly, this creates tons of legals issues because the "european internet" is quite small compared to the american internet (and the worldwide web in general) so they'll have a hard time going after copyrighted material on extra-european websites. Lastly, it's super bad for the company's image if the decide to go after potential clients for some futile shit.
Pathetic eurocuckolds are nothing but cattle for their overlords.
HOW WILL EUROKEKS EVER RECOVER?
*gets paid under the table to avoid ridiculous tax rates no one can afford*
>Memes banned
Maybe society can fucking recover now.
Makes the EU have copyright law closer to yours.
But since it's 2018, every single piece of legislation passed has to be exaggerated to the most retarded fucking degree possible because a modern human being can't survive without living under a state of mass hysteria 24/7
LAST MINUTE TRADING
How does it even work, if I post a a wojak no one can demonstrate it's copyrighted because no one registered it in the first place. And if I create a new meme how can I claim it's mine? Do I get paid? Do I have to register every paint scribble I make? Where's the line between a paint scribble and a copyrighted meme?
>because no one registered it in the first place
Oh ho ho, my naive friend. Look no further than Getty Images, they have in the past successfully taken public domain images and copyrighted them then sued users of the public domain image.
Align yourself with American copyright mentality and you'll end up like them. Get protesting before that final vote.
its DMCA for euros
I'm gonna open up a meme black market on the darknet
>are nothing but cattle for their overlords.
That's exactly what russian subhumans are to their oligarch overlords though.
We have some much power over the EU fags now
Getty images is the reason why Google images sucks now, and why I stopped using Google entirely
Inb4 nothing happens, just like net neutrality tor the US.
The law only applies to memes and news articles that are registered and copyrighted.
And something like has existed since forever. Many news sites say that "link to the original article is necessary if the article or parts of it are being published" or something similar. So it has a strict and separate law for that. Pretty sure most news sites are happy if you spread or repost their garbage so they won't ever suit you.
VIETNAMESE PIG WHORE. YOU RUINED POL POT GLORIOUS REVOLUTION.
Will Jow Forums finally be free of the euro scourge?

Unlike industrial property (patterns,brands...), pieces of art are protected from the only fact that they were created, so you don't have to make a deposit. If one can prove he made Wojak in the first place, then we're all forgers.
Yet, there is a doctrinal discussion: considering a piece of art is protected from the only fact it was created, a meme of Wojak should be protected as a separate piece of art than the original. Same applies for graffitis: it is illegal at the beginning but protected by law from the only fact it was made.
I don't post with pictures anyway so i don't care
Can the EU even do anything to people in Bulgaria? Everyone here can basically pirate whatever the fuck they want and nothing will happen. Absolutely everyone in Bulgaria pirates their software, even schools.
