I don't know anyone here who doesn't hate Germans. In my local village we always give German tourists wrong directions when they come here, you can spot them a mile away with that dire accent and general meekness.

Been to the Netherlands twice the last 12 months and when ever I went to some retaurant/bar/store what ever I asked if they would rather speak English or German (asked in English). Especially in the towns at the coast the big majority will tell you they are cool with German.
