Why is western media attacking japan so much in the last few years?

It's because Japan is the only advanced and developed Asian country

I wonder what will happen during the 2020 Olympics
:(

>be japanese
>be a virgin
>work to death without ever holding hands with a girl

Attached: 1514998463150.jpg (746x500, 102K)

Because western media is controlled by (((them)))

Everything is so fine in the world of "free", their own own media have nothing to report about.

Our lunch breaks aren't timed so I always end up taking 5-10 minutes extra daily. Had a coworker once take a 2 hour lunch when barely anyone was in the office and all the bosses were away on holiday.

t. David Zhang

When a country is prosperous their people deserve to enjoy the luxuries of it not be worked to death and die out because they are too depressed to reproduce

they didn't force him to sudoku though, it's progress

>64-year-old
I thought Japanese culture was about respecting your elders.
Just cut the old man some slack, he shouldn't even be working at that age.

The Jews fear the samurai

wtf? That's communism man.

I don't have a job

>Be Jap
>Leave home for work at 6 a.m
>Get Back at 8 p.m
>Go to sleep at 10 p.m
>Do this for 50 years while thanking your boss and being super grateful
Why are asians such slaves

Attached: 1525966584060.jpg (962x1063, 143K)

i wonder how many asians find this stupid but are ashamed of talking about it in public

Based Japs. 3 minutes a day for a year is over 18 hours of lost productivity per year. If every employee did this the company would lose billions.

Exactly. I wish Japan stops getting buttfucked by the LDP long enough to develop some good labour laws.
Probably a lot, but they always feel like they can't do anything about it, and then nothing gets done.

Completely justified in my opinion. It's one thing he was working for a company, which would just lose profit, but when it's a government employee that mooches off on public money, that's theft.

Not the national news. Here you will just be fired. People already have to clock out for their lunch breaks here and when you clock out early or clock in late once, it will put a mark on your record, after three marks its an automatic termination of employment. We are slaves to the clock.

I had an hour for lunch today and I left 30 minutes early because I'd completed all my tasks and my managers were at training.

The new world is focusing on outcomes, not time spent. Get with it

>American labor laws

3 minutes, user. 3 minutes.
If it was 10 minutes? Sure, definitely, I'd agree with the punishment. But this only for 3 minutes?

I eat when I wanna eat.

>after three marks its an automatic termination of employment
really?

Holy shit, I'm glad I'm not Japanese.
Thankfully where I work we just take lunch when it suits us, no rigid arbitrary time for starting and ending it. It depends on how much work has to be done, and what you're doing that day.
No wonder glorious nippon is full of NEETS.

Attached: Locke.png (727x471, 502K)

>But this only for 3 minutes?
Yes, if it's recurring. Which it was.

Similar things happen here. I got two warnings for clocking out early, 3 minutes one time and 4 minutes the other (quit before my last one, which would have been an automatic firing).

The thing that's kind of bullshit is that there's one machine that all 30 employees clock in and out of, and if one of them starts clocking out at 6:00, then the last one doesn't get to clock out until like 6:05 (and also works the other way, so you have to make sure you clock in at least 5 minutes early). The company basically gets at least 10 minutes of free labour a day from all workers, and if you try to clock out 5 minutes early because you came in 5 minutes early, they have a zero tolerance policy and hand out warnings for it.

t. works in a shitty job where outcome is defined by time spent doing work, and not the result of the work itself.

If I finish a project in 5 hours of an 8 hour work day, nobody gives a shit if I left 2 hours early. If the guy worked retail or something? Fine, since your job is defined by time spent waiting around. This guy's not doing that though.

Hey at least you don't have any pesky evil gommie labour laws, that would certainly be a disaster, just think of all the money Mr. Goldberg would lose!

Its one of the most common ways people lose jobs here. Some companies even put a mark on your record when you clock in EARLY or clock out LATE because they dont want to pay overtime.

wtf that's just unproductive and annoying.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flextime

I've seen people getting fired for taking an early break

>t. works in a shitty job where outcome is defined by time spent doing work, and not the result of the work itself.
No, I don't. I work for a private corporation which doesn't steal money.
>If I finish a project in 5 hours of an 8 hour work day, nobody gives a shit if I left 2 hours early.
I do, because I'm the one paying for your lazy ass being there 8 full hours.

What field of work?

Why do you pay employees to sit around and do nothing for 2 hours?

Encouraging efficiency has become a staple of appropriate workplace attire in the last decade. You're stuck in the 1950s.

construction

Basically the guy lit a cigarette 1 minute before morning break.

Since its a heavily unionized workplace both union and employers tries to do everything in their power to shit on the other party.

>tfw you often take an hour longer break per day and nobody knows

Attached: 1529329461621.jpg (720x1200, 241K)

Christ.
Unions should function to prevent things like these though, so I don't really understand that logic.
Say what you want about Scandinavian socialism, but at least we have laws to protect workers from being treated like shit.

why are japanese people so autistic

Imagine being this cucked by corporations.

let me tell you union are almost as bad towards employers

because they need to bully the country into opening borders

When I used to work at tesco, when my shift ended I would spend like 30 minutes eating in the breakroom and then clock out so I get the 30 minutes overtime pay

FAIRLY sure the article is a joke, the picture they use is of a Japanese steel company apologizing for faking their steel tolerances

Isn't construction the kind of thing you want to let people get rests, as long as they're on schedule ?
I mean I sometimes works on construction sites, and sometimes you're just waiting for a colleague to finish his job, or getting a rest after doing some heavy lifting. We don't even have breaks at a set time except for Lunch

Do you talk to the quantity surveyor

Yeah, I've worked in construction too, taking 5 or even 10 minutes for a cigarette break a couple of times a day when you yourself decided to was more or less expected.
I can't imagine working very long in the authoritarian nightmare that punishes you for 1 minute not working, sounds dreadful.

There are scheduled breaks, and you have to respect them even if you dont want to.

why is Jow Forums only interested in immigration and jews whenever this topic comes up? as if that's the only thing that matters.

japan has awful work conditions, and the median wages are way below those of western countries. it's simply not the paradise right wing weeaboos make it out to be. but at least you can try to derail the debate by bringing up muh immigration and muh jews.

Sounds unnecessarily rigid if you ask me, being treated like some robot or something.
As long as the work gets done in a respectable time it really shouldn't matter when you take 5, unless you're doing a team effort at that moment or something, but we're talking about working adults here, not children, so people should have common sense enough to understand when a break is appropriate.
Shhh, don't trigger them, they'll just shit all over the thread even more.

I know that feel.

Attached: 1500480537830.jpg (475x475, 71K)

You have to understand that unions themselves create those kinds of enironments, I've seen supervisors receiving formal complains form the union for helping a worker (he should have sent another worker to help)

After that let me tell you he never wanted to help anybody anymore.

Is this a thing that's mostly only in the construction field, or are these practices common elsewhere too?

Its called having a collectivist culture.

Because they do not accept refugees.

>>Why do you pay employees to sit around and do nothing for 2 hours?
If they have nothing to do, and they have work for only 5 hours, then they can get paid for 5 hours.

>Encouraging efficiency has become a staple of appropriate workplace attire in the last decade. You're stuck in the 1950s.
I'm all for trimming off excess fat, especially when it's governments we're talking about. Paying people for doing nothing is not the way to do it.

This, and if people take too long they'll get reprimanded by their chief or something. Productiveness isn't constant thorough the day, especially on a construction site where you have to fix whatever problem come up.
That could work on an industrial setting, on a production line or something ,but construction ? That's bollocks.
I've seen the same kind of mindset in the US as well. I mean I'm French, i'm not a stranger to unions, but they've never been that aggressive.

Seems like you have a caste of people needing to justify their wage, and they do it by hatching stupid regulations.

>finish work efficiently in 5 hours and go about your business
>pace yourself to finish your work in 8 hours, knowing that there's no rush, since your chief would give you more work if you finish earlier
hmmm

There's "working for the good of the greater whole", and then there's "Asian work culture". It's more of a spectrum honestly.

I'll take C:
>fire employee for wasting taxpayer money and hire someone who can get the job done in 5 hours and gets paid for 5 hours

the irony being that this japanese boomer probably gave a free week of work every year on his holidays, as it's customary in Japan, as well as probably worked countless overwork hours for free

Right wing weebs will defend this

>tfw 40 hour work week
>tfw minus 16 and plus 20 hours of flexitime

>salarymen are the only jobs Japanese do

Don't kid yourselves. It's the exact same shit as wageslave accountants or office slaves who spend the entire day in their cuckbicles.

Because Japan has no diversity.

I take lunch whenever I want to

But they're best friends though.

Good lad

Attached: d38.png (2517x1024, 457K)

Fuck china

Yeah, the Japanese managers are obsessed over exercising feudal domination over their employees, keeping them well beyond the point of being needed for a days work, never pushing them to work efficiently, and then after work forcing them into fake socialization.

And the Yakuza will assassinate anyone who tries to change their corporate culture away from this.

>there's one machine that all 30 employees clock in and out of,
That's just retarded and lazy. They could fix that with three more clock in stations, two on each side of a wall.

Since we have a constant operation and currently leavingy personnel we are told when we can go eat.
I'm fine with it since I get a full hour anyway and only work 7

it's not that bad, our clocking machine emits zyklon B if you clock out too early

No. Working for free is wrong and retarded.

....ok Finland, put the bottle down

t. literally has never worked a non-retail job in his life

lmao if you think any employee worth a shit is going to stick around for a boss willing to fire or deduct pay for finishing work earlier than the standard 8 hours

>haha lol the current world caters to lazy retards mooching off tax money and that's a great thing xDDD
>what a retard lol you must work at retail lmfao

You must be great at parties

Why are japs so depressed when their country is homogenous, safe and wealthy?

See

Also

>waaah how dare they treat their employees like shit this is anti japanese propaganda

Leaf
My boss let me out early today so here I am enjoying lunch at 2am
Lol

Idiot

Let's pretend it's real: this employee got the best bento's by starting his break earlier than his colleagues. A very egotistical move.

>tfw they make you fill in a timesheet
>fill it in as 'internal - general'

Yes, better send him to the camps.
Watch out around Germans and Japs, they're bound to relapse!

Attached: crush the germans.jpg (297x400, 38K)

For me lunch takes up 60% of my work day and the other 30% is smoke break

Why do Japs value minutes worked over work actually done? Germans get more work done in 7 hours than Japs get done in 10 hours + 2 hours of overtime to impress the zaibatsu, because they actually have the energy to work.
