and western germany was not ravaged by the way.
There's that, but there's the fact that the burden Allied countries forced upon Germany actually turned into an advantage. Since 1945, everything has been done to keep Germany in check. Its economy has been integrated into the rest of Europe and is heavily dependent on trade. When German Reunification threatened to make the deutschmark the dominant European currency (several countries had their currencies pegged to the Deutschmark), France pushed for the creation of the euro.
However, this level of integration has turned into a trap for Europe. Because of its dependence on trade, Germany industries must always produce top quality products in order to stay competitive on the global market. So while other countries protect their failing industries by given them a protected market through tariffs and trade barriers, Germany industries must innovate. Germany's industrial capacity is now much greater than any other European country.
they stole our heritage, there are still thousands of Polish pieces of art in Germany
The German economy is big because there's 82 million of them.
There's 150m Russians and they have traded with Europe for so long, why didn't they learn?
American owns Germany until 2099 so they had an incentive to help it grow.
