Volvo was and always have been marketed for everyone here. The peoples car, safe and reliable. Gender has never, not once played any part of Volvo's marketing agenda. At least not here in Sweden where they were and are still being made.

I don't know how to explain it but Volvo cars are so common here (literally every parking lot is at least 45% Volvo) that parts can be found anywhere.
I purchased a complete engine, tranny and rear axle for my 745 last year. Cost me 120 dollars in the local scrap yard.

My dad drives a mint Merc 190E, costs a fortune whenever something needs replacing.
It always makes me chuckle when he complains. Parts for Volvo is at least 50% cheaper.

Be careful with investing in a car older than 2010. They're extremely difficult to work on and can cost a good bit to fix. Ask me how I know about that.

It's not as expensive when it comes to the engine. I'd say that OEM parts for the engine are pretty reasonably priced actually, considering it's an older car. But the trim pieces, my god.
