Central Amerilards, Caribbeans, Sudamericans and Spanishlards consume all of our youtubers and their products, everyone knows bitches like Yuya
>accidentally go on polish trending page on youtube
>vomit in my mouth
eh i do the same. dutch yt is literally bottom of the barrel clickbait shit. im subbed to hundreds of channels and only 1 is from netherlands ( and he makes his vids in english lol)
and anglo tv is pretty good. what else is there? nordic crime dramas? literally csi tier shit. watch dekalogue on repeat for the rest of time?
The Brazilian section of youtube is like absolute cancer too. It's just memes and E-stars with their v-logs or whatever scandal there is recently (Russian girls chanting BUCETA ROSA).
The only American media I consume is their music, but not the rock shit
tv shows? no
yt channels? idk nowadays but when i first started going to youtube back in 2009 or something the only good content was in english, i've taken some trips recently to spanish yt but it mostly seems to have just copied english yt.
what, then
Russian is even worse
is there even a term for that?
when you're into japanese stuff. you're a weeb or weeaboo
but when you're big into american stuff...? i'm actually curious
no american culture is simply global culture not a niche like weebism
what do you think of sexmex?
ameriboo?
Cultural cringe, in cultural studies and social anthropology, is an internalized inferiority complex that causes people in a country to dismiss their own culture as inferior to the cultures of other countries. It is closely related to the concept of colonial mentality and is often linked with the display of anti-intellectual attitudes towards thinkers, scientists, and artists who originate from a colonial or post-colonial nation. It can also be manifested in individuals in the form of cultural alienation.
It's Atlanta Syndrome.
Ameriboo or Westaboo
don't know what that is
ah so we do have a culture after all
Its only real centre point is consumerism, but yeah. There's definitely an "America" somewhere between Hollywood and New York.
It's what Toronto seems to aspire to, and Montreal couldn't wish any harder to get further away from.
Both of our countries are more accurately viewed in smaller pieces. There are a lot of cultures at play.
