Icelanders have been living and fishing in the cold waters of the North Atlantic for many hundreds of years. Quite content to ignore and be ignored by the world of the big countries.
Earth being, after all, full of strange creatures beyond count. Icelanders must seem of little importance, being neither renowned as great warriors, nor counted among the very wise.
In fact, it has been remarked by some that the Icelanders' only real passion is sexual relations with their relatives. A rather unfair observation, as we have also developed a keen interest in the art of failing banks, and eating disgusting food. But where our hearts truly lie...
When I was a young child I had a dream that I was friends with spiderman but then at one point he had to go away forever and he picked up a slab of grass and sliped beneath it and I never saw him again. It was really sad and those houses reminded me of that dream.
Josiah Sanchez
looks expensive. Skyr is pretty nice, agree there.
Justin Peterson
I speak German already. If it’s anything like that it would be cool to pick up the basics then.
Thomas Long
that's pretty cute man
Daniel Howard
there are some similarities, mainly in the grammatical structure of the language itself. Nice base to start things off with.
Nathan Martinez

Where do you go to the bathroom and take a shower in a house like that?
I like Greenland more, for personal reasons. Nothing against you, I just enjoy the company of Inuits more. :/
Benjamin Phillips

It's a dream of mine to see Island. One day I'll be there drinking Black Death with my authentic sweater. Ahhh some day. How's Akureyri?
Jayden Sanders
How difficult is it to visit Iceland? Are there good trekking points? I really want to visit Iceland after I saw this video of a guy who bakes Bread in molten lava, it looked delicious
Mason Barnes
west fjords are a good choice I'd say, eastern fjords are also very beautiful.
we didn't back when those houses were common. We do now. Back then we just buried our shitpits once they filled up.
Julian Myers
>How's Akureyri? pretty comfy, nice ice cream. Lots of snow in winter though. >How difficult is it to visit Iceland? For an Indian I have no idea, probably not that hard though as long as you can afford it. No offense. >Are there good trekking points? Yeah loads, easy to search up. Just remember not to drive off road if you do not fancy getting huge fines.
Sebastian Gray
So your waste goes underground? How do Icelanders buy food? Isn't it extremely expensive there? Also is it okay if a Black American visits Iceland?
Jonathan Edwards
>afford it. I've heard that it's expeeeeensive for everything. Even that hot dog cart. I ain't exactly Scrooge McDuck either, but I still want to visit. I even looked into working or attending haskoli Islands for the fun of it.
Zachary Evans
thanks lad.
Brandon Nelson
Are you gay?
Mason Brooks
It's expensive and we buy it from grocery stores, you'll be okay though.
Yeah it's pretty damn expensive.
yw
no but appreciate the interest.
Luke Russell
What's going on in Iceland right now?
Isaiah Edwards
Does Iceland have homeless? If so where do they live when winter comes? Is it true venturing off to far alone in Iceland can result in death? If I go to Iceland could you show me around? Do Icelanders prefer to speak English over Icelandic?
Sorry if I asked alot of questions just curious
Cooper Stewart
we're drinking away our sorrows after today, people talking about football and Donald Trump. Also Secret Solstice music festival just started and I hear it's all right.
Levi Johnson
>Does Iceland have homeless? A few but they're exclusively addicts of some kind. >If so where do they live when winter comes? we have year round housing for them when they want to bother to show up. > Is it true venturing off to far alone in Iceland can result in death? if you are extremely stupid and/or clumsy then sure. During winter it can be dangerous and stupid tourists think the highlands are as mild as the towns and farmlands so we usually have a few dead tourists each year. > If I go to Iceland could you show me around? no you can probably find another Icelander or just use Google maps. >Do Icelanders prefer to speak English over Icelandic? no, we can all speak English but Icelanders always converse in Icelandic. Unless they are edgy teenagers who "just can't stand this backwards language stuff."
Daniel Parker
> I will never be an Icelander > Even if I tried, people would think I'm a weirdo Life is suffering without end.
Just go to Iceland and get a Icelandic gf then hav babies. Of course you still won't be Icelander but your kids kinda will.
What are some must visit places tourist should go to in Iceland?
Are you one of Hans Jonatan descendants?
Have you ever looked at your own family tree?
Where do Icelanders normally go for vacation?
How tall are you? Are Icelanders tall?

Logan Cox
is it true you have some kind of ids so you know who's your close relative and don't fuck your cousins by mistake?
Liam Thomas
There's a solstice festival up on the peaks of our or mountains as well, but i can't go cause i already have plans
James Green
Sometimes I have very weird dreams not really connected to my life events or anything of the sort. They are usually very wild in nature, but with a reasonable history. Some of them turned out to be true in the end, usually regarding my personal life (studies, jobs, etc), but most do not...So, a couple of months ago I dreamt that a friend of mine and his father (they are of polish descent, so very random) were traveling to Iceland and we were to meet at Reykjavík because they wanted to show me a restaurant. They were traveling by boat from North America and were to disembark in a city called Vík í Mýrdal and go on land the rest of the way. I woke up and went to look at the map and there it was that town, which I've never heard of until that dream.
>don't let your dreams be dreams man, this chick sits on the Reykjavík city council for the socialist party and no one questions how Icelandic she is. Well, I'm graduating next year and I have some affinity with languages. Who knows? We might share some Hákarl one day :D
>What are some must visit places tourist should go to in Iceland? Let Google answer that for you man. >Are you one of Hans Jonatan descendants? Nope, though I know some people who are. >Have you ever looked at your own family tree? Yep quite a bit. >Where do Icelanders normally go for vacation? Spain and Florida are the main ones for Icelanders, Copenhagen in Denmark is like the Icelandic Mecca though, every Icelander goes there once in their life. >How tall are you? Are Icelanders tall? I'm 185cm, I think we're around the average for Nordics. Slightly shorter than the Dutch, taller than Brits.
it's very easy to trace ancestry here, we don't really use that ability to make sure we aren't banging our cousins though. Plus I know some folks who intentionally banged their cousins so it would be a pretty pointless process anyway.
Wyatt Davis
>Plus I know some folks who intentionally banged their cousins so it would be a pretty pointless process anyway.
Wtf is that thing there in Iceland?
>Spain and Florida are the main ones for Icelanders
Weird I've in Florida my whole life and never met an Icelander before hmmm
>Nope, though I know some people who are.
That's wild
Chase Turner
Oh last last last question I promise lol. Are you related to The Mountain or met him irl?
