This is a true story.
I flew in to the Philippines to work with someone and on my flight I passed over a few large cities thinking that must be Manila. A few minutes later, the plane banks, and I realize Manila is not off in the distance but directly under us. When the plane banks, the porthole window I have is literally consumed with endless brown urbanization. For miles and miles it is concrete hell.
And rising up out of that mud is a gigantic bright white cathedral. That, I say, must be the Catholic Church.
But I was wrong. It was not the Catholic Church. I wouldn't learn what exactly that pillar of wealth was until I met the locals.

90% mix of folk religion and Buddhism, not polytheism though both exhibit properties of it. Just like China is a complex mix of folk religions, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and more- many Asian countries are equally complex. Monotheistic simplifications don't apply.

No. 30% are irreligious (includes immigrants too) but that doesn't mean atheist or necessarily nonreligious. Just means no formal following of a recognised religion. Such as deism or agnosticism, or simply not being retarded enough to think you're Christian, for example, if you know nothing about it and don't attend church/pray/celebrate/etc. As almost all """Christians""" in USA do. 52.2% of Australians are Christian, and in the proper sense. Not vaguely, 'I believe in God...or something'. Which isn't being Christian, at all. It requires actual practice, education, and adherence.
