Lady on the radio today saying how that article in the constitution saying women should stay home and look after the children is negatively creating some sort sexist culture.
I mean I think it is more a societal issue, and plenty of people aren't even aware such an article exists, but I don't think their no need to get so zealous over it, despite the fact I don't disagree with proposals that is should be removed.
They didn't seem to pleased either when Brendan O'Connor suggested that maybe one parent should stay at home and mind children instead of the culture of two people going out working. Seemed to be suggesting that that would mean women would be forced to stay at home, and that he was a bit sexist for suggesting it, despite the face he said it could be either parent.
The link to theJournal simply reminded me of the issues with Ireland people on there frequently used to raise, height limits being one of them.
Think someone should put together one of those bingo cards of commonly used terms, would be quite amusing.

It's undeniable though that the gender pay gap is linked to the discrepancy between how long women take off from work for childcare than men. Or else why would they earn more on average than men in the years they don't typically have kids anymore (18-29)?
