wtf? The original Han Chinese are genetically different from modern Han Chinese, but that is no different from how Romans are different from Italians, or how modern Greeks or Turks or pretty much everyone has genetically changed.
Just to start with the Tang Dynasty, it is true that the imperial Li family and the entire northern aristocracy had significant steppe heritage. However, whoever wrote this forgot that they were predominantly of Han paternal ancestry, and predominantly of steppe maternal ancestry, and this is true for the Tang emperors.
