Bitcoin breaking out would mean that you buy more alts, fool. Decoupling won't happen anytime soon. More profits to be made buying alts that ride the Bitcoin wave than buying Bitcoin itself.

well yeah, technically your still making USD but your missing out on the opportunity cost / (making more USD by holding more sats)

that depends how much of a btc maximalist/believer you are. For people who don't believe in btc long term missing out on satoshis is like for you missing out on some coin that pumped but you didn't care about. There is probably always a coin you could be making better gains with. And even tho I agree with you, because I look more at sats right now than usd, there are people who only care about the dollar value of their portfolio.

It's similar to people saying you lost money on an ico because eth pumped more since then, yea but it's not like that eth rise was a 100% sure thing. If someone is so sure about btc/eth rise they just buy a shitload or long it and sit on it

Sorry bro. BTC won't have another rally until quite awhile from now. Start to look for one when the BTC dominance percentage gets to around 21%. That's about when you'll see a blip up (but its rally point will still be lower than its current position today).
