Not fond of your implications of what Kongou voted for.

Looks like it wasn't a confirmation bias that crime was increasing.

>Irish thread

>New Zealand thread
>not in New Zealandish
Learn your own fucking language

Makes sense. Even by just watching the news on a daily basis, it was plain to see that crime rates are way up this year.

And is it just me or in the past month has there been an unusually high number of hit and run incidents?

>New Zealandish
I thought they conversed exclusively in variations of the Haka?

>New Zealand doesn't even have its own general on Jow Forums

/ausnz/ belongs to New Zealand. We fought Australia and won

/ausnz/ belongs to anime. New Zealand are just the vassals.

After /balt/, /ausnz/ is probably the most anime general on Jow Forums. I doubt /éire/ even gets into the top 3.

>31 degrees now

Is fuath liom nigear.

Am I doing this right?

Ní dhearna tú é ceart. Is é "fear gorm" nach "nigear".

I probably butchered that too though.

Not anymore, we used to have a lot of anime posters and even hit the image limit.

"blue men"

There's a difference between black man and nigger but I don't know is nigear even an Irish word, and if it is then it should probably be pluralised nigearí in this case.

Fear gorm is a strange anachronism. When I was in school we just said fear dubh.

DON'T be rude to /éire/!

I am able to repeatedly boot into Ubuntu testing mode from the USB, so no issue there. But there are a number of odd things about the boot sequence. Despite the fact that both the Windows 10 on the laptop and the Ubuntu on the USB are configured for UEFI, I can only boot from the USB if I boot in legacy mode. On top of that, even though I ordered the USB boot second in the list after the standard Windows boot, if the USB drive is removed, the laptop won't boot at all unless the USB drive is plugged in (in which case it boots to ubuntu anyway).

Well that all sounds grand desu.
So what's the plan now? Did you have a poke around whilst testing, look at the interface and such?
Just to note that there are plenty of different "flavours" of Linux and lots of different user interfaces. Ubuntu is sort of recommended for new users though, and I even then a lot of people still like it, myself included. It has a big community which means there is a lot of support and such. You are treading a well trodden path.

>Also is iqdb not picking up results lately?
That particularly one is quite new, but it could be an issue aside from that.

No idea.

>Highly disappointed in you
I read it on the news. To be fair, how Japan qualified was very controversial.

>Also is iqdb not picking up results lately?
Just that image it seems. Which is odd because it usually never fails to find images belonging to that artist.

>Well that all sounds grand desu.
Does it? From everything I read online, I should be able to boot in UEFI mode.

>So what's the plan now?
Possibly try installing a dual boot on the PC.

>Did you have a poke around whilst testing, look at the interface and such?
Just a quick look. I couldn't access any of my files while in testing mode. Is that normal?

Attached: 1508493550127.png (1600x1000, 1.19M)

>Possibly try installing a dual boot on the PC
You need to backup your files first though, right?
>I couldn't access any of my files while in testing mode
Not fully sure, but I'm fairly positive that you should be able.
Try going into the file explorer and looking under "Other Locations", believe it may list your hard drive and Windows partitions under there.
If they don't appear somewhere in the file explorer then there are a few commands you can run on the command line to mount your hard drives and access them.
>Does it? From everything I read online, I should be able to boot in UEFI mode
Don't know but I'm not sure it makes much of a difference.
Presume you are mainly worried about your PC and maybe you will be able to do UEFI on that or something.

I agree, we should all use Sankaku.

I googled it and didn't find anything in Ireland to suggest it was illegal, other than it probably would be in the future as it's seen to perpetuate the gender earning gap and it's only asked to determine what would be an appealing wage to an applicant

You could just not answer it, or make up a figure that sounds good to you ;)

>You need to backup your files first though, right?
As in it's something I should do first or are you referring to what I was saying last night about just securing some files first?

>Try going into the file explorer and looking under "Other Locations", believe it may list your hard drive and Windows partitions under there.
Okay, will try that later. It could be down to the way the owner of this laptop has his storage set up too.

>Presume you are mainly worried about your PC and maybe you will be able to do UEFI on that or something.
I will have to wait and see. Not entirely sure.

>RTÉ showing the Panama - Tunisia game
For what purpose?

>As in it's something I should do first or are you referring to what I was saying last night about just securing some files first?
Well I guess it would be best to secure your files first before you go installing anything or messing with partitions and such.
If you aren't planning on wiping everything, and are instead going to keep your current Windows setup, then I'm pretty sure Ubuntu is going to need some space on your drives to install itself. Usually Windows reserves all the space on disks when it is installed, but you can shrink the the installation of it using the Disk Management tool in Windows and then use the resulting free space to install Ubuntu. You can't however boot into your Windows installation and run stuff so I don't know how you one would free up some space. Maybe the Ubuntu installer has a way to free up some space but if it has I've never used it.
How do you plan on recovering your Windows installation? Sounds to me like it is completely broken and you would be better off securing your files, installing a fresh copy of Windows and then installing Ubuntu afterwards. Will end up with a working dual boot system (they recommend Windows be already installed in some form before installing Linux, makes it so they can configure dual boot more easily and such).
>the owner of this laptop
They don't mind you messing with it? You intend to return it to them?

Been off the site for almost half a year.

What happened to eire/pol/? Did they just give up after the referendum?
I remember seeing those threads all the time back when I was on Jow Forums more often and they always got 200+ replies.

Last I heard they had a civil war a few weeks ago when some of them wanted to discuss actual political parties.

>Did they just give up after the referendum?
Not sure, I don't look over that way very often, but the one night I checked there was not thread. Maybe they were subsumed into a thread consisting of them from across the water. May also be hanging out in one of the Discords.
Believe they were having a bit of a civil war over the NP a week or so ago.

Yeah, I have instructions for that. Just a matter of getting into Windows first so I can free up that space.

>Sounds to me like it is completely broken and you would be better off securing your files, installing a fresh copy of Windows and then installing Ubuntu afterwards
I was certainly considering that. Not sure yet though.

You've (presumably) watched the anime, so you know she's not really mean. She's just got that cold exterior I like so much.

It's been a while, but I'd say their might've been an occasion or two where she was a bit stubborn and cold when being asked something by someone, which could've been taken as a bit mean. Like she refused a request or just walked away from something.
Isn't she a bit mean to her poor older (and superior) sister also?
>It just sounds tiring and annoying in the long run
