*Not sure what the best equivalent is for "diss"
Henry Lewis
Unfortunately the university I was looking at has told me since I am not in EU I will have to wait until next fall to start. However, on the bright side apparently some of my degree credit should transfer over.
>Eres enfermo? This is technically correct, but saying that would sound more like a "Are you out of your mind?", and I am guessing that wasn't the meaning of the sentence so it should be "¿Estás enfermo?"
"Yo TE habría ayudado si solo hubieras pedido." >Deja de me faltar al respeto delante ella "Deja de faltarME el respeto delante de ella" And yeah, I would also use that for "dissing"
Umbrella is masculine, and uses the same word for both singular and plural: "paraguas". This one was kind of complicated

To add to this, west european languages take half as long to learn. But if your heart is set on Japanese and you think you have the motivation, there are plenty of resources out there. Just be prepared to put in a lot of work.

Well to put it in context, for an English speaker on a scale of 1 to 4 from easiest to hardest languages
1: Nordic/Romance 2. German 3. Slavic/Baltic/Central Asian languages 4. Arabic/Japanese/Chinese dialects/Korean
Obviously it's not comprehensive but keep in mind people get bored of learning languages in the 1 category

>Realize that you’re doing this for fun. All the talk about multicultural this and global that is just a bunch of smoke language-lovers blow up people’s butts to make it seem as if what they’re doing is important. I am guilty of it, too. The real reason to learn a language is because it’s there. It is pure play. Real socio-economic need does arise if, say, you decided to move to a Spanish-speaking country for a long time. But even then, ironically, the fastest path, and the one that looks the longest, is to learn Spanish as if you didn’t have to.

Just imagine yourself learning Russian, yes russian, that fucking disgusting, nasty, putrid language, fucking inserting it into your brain. Having that goblin speak incripted inside your memory. Now imagine people doing that deliberately to themselves. What has this world come to?
Luke Young
Imagine learning Brazilian Portuguese, a mutt language that was probably created by a drunk Russian guy trying to speak Spanish and failing. I saw a Brazilian woman some weeks ago, and I legit thought that she was a gypsy, that language was just sooooo ugly. She was fat, short and gypsy like aswell, but then I saw her Brazil bag, and realized that Brazilian Portuguese indeed sounds like shit. At least Russians created a huge amount of great literary works, while you guys were swinging in trees. No one in your nation respects a great man Emperor Pedro II, probably a single Brazilian that actually had a value as a human being. So yeah, stfu kid.
Isaac Torres
but speaking of language learning, any of you guys got a red version of learning Turkish chart? I have to learn Turkish to roast some kebab sellers who I think scam me
