I've got a few hours to spare If anyone here has any questions about the Russian language I'm akk ears.

Well I'll do my own challenge as a bump
Und sie sehen etwas göttlich in jedem anderen Mann und sind endlos, unglaublich* gnädig (Admittedly had to google the asterisk words for this one)

Any advice for working on my German? I'm like B1/B2 in comprehension but my production sucks.
Daniel Wright
Honestly just keep writing things over and over until you get it right, I just ended up drilling concepts into my head this way
Jordan Allen
Oh, and after you get it right, write them again the next day
Dylan Allen
>easy these aren't easy. what the fuck >Tom has written many books Tom hat viele Bücher geschreiben. >She has a black puppy. Sie hat ein schwarze Hündchen. gracious bump

How are they not easy?

Was machen alle heute Abend? Ich habe gerade Abend gegessen und höre jetzt Musik.

>REMINDER duolingo is not good or useful at all and you are just inhibiting your progress with it. Buy a textbook and a frequency dictionary for your language off amazon. Should only run you back about $40, maybe more. Work through the textbook cover to cover. You can also pirate rosetta stone if you language has it. Most people finish rosetta stone in about 2-3 years if they actually use it. So keep in mind this is a long commitment.
Christopher James
duolingo is quite shit. it shows where their priorities are when you realise the phone app doesn't even offer grammar explanations. absolutely absurd for a language learning app.
Jayden Ramirez
100% Agree. Duolingo is absolute normie tier shit for lazy normies who know nothing about language learning.
D*Olingo is more a like game or distraction to spend time while waiting, commuting or something. You cant learn a language by playing duolingo while sitting in a bus, it's just impossible

Easy >No one responded. 誰も答えなかった。 >That's how I'd do that 俺がそういう風にしよう >Tom has written many books トムは著作が多い。 >I might do that, too. 俺もしようかも >She has a black puppy. 彼女は黒い子犬を(一匹)飼ってる
I haven't got time to do the other ones, will probably do them later.

Pretty happy right now. Basically just told my university to fugg off with *gen-ed* class requirements since I’m transferring out in a year. So now I have more time for actual classroom hours for languages. >Indonesian and Swahili *closer* to English than Finnish or Polish or Icelandic Is this just because they are spoken by cretins? No Jow Forumsposting intended but..
Colton Morales
No, it's because they have very simple non-inflectional grammar.
Charles Nelson
Cretins it is then
Tyler Hernandez
Still harder than English though
And Chinese would rank in about the same spot if it weren't for its writing

I believe this is outdated and German is now CAT3 and French is now CAT2

I understand that Spanish is probably the most useful second language for English speakers, but it is so fucking ugly, sounds like shit and is spoken by shithole/irreverent countries.
Xavier Gray
>I understand that Spanish is probably the most useful second language for English speakers That's only if you're American or if you're another retarded brit that just wants to jump off balconies on Magaluf. Actually nevermind you inbred fucks are unable of comprehending a single word so it's only useful for Americans.
Is duo really that bad if I already more or less understand grammar (and Google anything I don't)? Mostly using it for vocabulary and translation exercises. I stopped using it a while ago for the other, more grammatically difficult language that I'm far more proficient in anyway
Brayden Rogers
Grammatically difficult language that I'm learning and far more proficient in*
Jack Morgan
Not for Britons. European Spanish is pointless.
Although the answer to this depends on your definition of 'most useful'.
Dominic Morris
I heard using translated versions of Harry Potter is a good way to learn a language. >It is a kids book with simple sentences and vocab. >Still pretty interesting (More interesting than boring fucking exercise books). >Has a huge range of professionally translated editions, so you can pretty much always get an edition in your lang and your target lang. >You read abit, learn any vocab you don't know, learn any grammar that confuses you. >Check your understanding of the target language version compared to your language. >Repeat until you are at the end of the chapter. >Try reading a whole chapter. >Continue until you can read and understand the whole book. >The books vocabulary and themes get more complex as the books go on, following your language progression.
