They didn't die off from malaria and smallpox.

They mixed

It's not uncommon in human history for populations to invade an area and replace the natives. Just look at the amount of population turnover that happened in Western Europe during the Holocene. I think it's just one of the uncomfortable truths about our history: genocide is pretty common.

umm, wrong, genocide is a European invention that has allowed them to systematically destroy the civilizations of PoC

>genocide is pretty common
>thinking every change comes from genocide.

>It's not uncommon in human history for populations to invade an area and replace the natives.
Interesting

yes, they're called māori
new zealand was founded by the signing of a treaty at a place called waitangi -- the "treaty of waitangi"

>thirty-seven years later
>be chief justice of new zealand, based james prendergast
>case involving the treaty of waitangi comes to court
>fuckit
>declare the treaty to be a "simple nullity"

>for the next century, maori are perceived to have little to no land rights
>feelsgoodman
>1970s
>protests start happening
>cucked government decides to appease maori
>treaty settlements are reached
>various tribes are given assets and cash
>now they wield substantial influence

>implying European genocide caused by non-Europeans isn't happening

No, we have invaders how ever (Roma, Albanians and other similar shitskins)

European genocide when pls?

>based james prendergast

How's that absed? That's being a dick.

Looking at the fossil record and the genomic evidence, it's pretty clear that the Anatolian farmers pushed the western hunter gatherers to the margins of western eurasia, and also that these Neolithic farmers were subsequently decimated by pastoralists from the Pontic caspian steppe

International law generally requires that a treaty be between two sovereign nations.

Maori, despite having signed some bullshit "declaration of independence" five years prior to signing the treaty, could never really be called a sovereign nation. There was no central government (the annual conferences that were meant to happen under the declaration never took place) and a number of the tribes who signed the declaration ended up at war with each other within a year.

Lack of sovereignty means the treaty was a simple nullity -- and even today, that is why the treaty remains non-justiciable in New Zealand courts.

We genocided them not enough, that's what went wrong

We kinda kill all of them...

>What went wrong?
When your defense minister is native, and 2/3rd of country population is natives, and fucking burgers talk about you opressing natives, while genocide their own
