can you eggsplain sirs?

the chicago project is moving pricing data around the blockchain ecosystem using towncrier. I wonder if there is another piece of critical infrastructure involved?

Project Chicago is trying to create a derivatives market for crypto-commodities. Ari Juels, who co-wrote the Chainlink white paper, is a founder of Project Chicago and the whole thing is an IC3 project.

So basically another Chainlink partnership is confirmed.

>Cryptocommodities, very simply, are raw resources used for blockchain transactions. The main examples are various forms of blockchain memory (e.g., block space or space in a UTXO set) or computation (e.g., gas in Ethereum). Cryptocommodities are analogous to physical commodities (e.g., food, grain, lumber, metal) that are traded in traditional financial markets.

Why does crypto need derivatives?

Because Sir Gay needs passive Big Mac income

They’re partners you retard
Same reason derivatives for normal commodities exist

For the commodities that are unique to the field of cryptocurrency. Derivatives are used for price risk management. This is exciting because there is not currently a market for these types of commodities (as far as I understand it) and Chainlink will be part of the foundation.

They also retweeted a chainlink shill if you scroll down their tweets.

To increase my stack value bro.

Because cryptocurrencies behave like commodities. If tokens represent rights to use computing power of a crypto network, and your business' profitability depends on the cost of using thst computing power, then you will want a way to hedge against dramatic price changes.

Their twitter also literally retweeted ChainLink shill accounts so this is 100% confirmed
