I live there and suffer with no bf
Ask your family living there
Overcrowded and hot as fuck. Takes an hour to drive 2 miles.
Kind of terrible outside the beach desu
Also homeless people absolutely everywhere
Is that smog?
Dude it sucks. It's the ugliest city i've ever seen.
Everything's a grey stucco and almost nothing exceeds 2-3 stories.
Los Angeles is 100% like the Jow Forumstard's idea of a good city, when it comes to its design and layout. You need a car to go anywhere, huge highways ruin all the old neighborhoods, etc.
This, tent cities everywhere
>not going to west hollywood to meet qt boys
Yes, on a bad day. It clears up when it rains though.
>wanting to join the scene and fuck femfags
Los Angeles―air quality you can taste!
LA boys (and girls for that matter) are all roastie airhead thots.
You've spent some time in LA?
I go there like every other month lol
What for?
i'm not gay man, i don't really know what the dating scene is like there tbf
delete this
How hard would it be to get a CHI bf, though?
To work illegally
A combination of business, family and tourism (and being gay)
Moderately, the mexicans that went there are the most backwards from our side so they're all closeted. Sex would be easy though I guess.
Where in Mexico do you live and why do you come to LA to be gay? Are you from some conservative rancho?
Are there any qt's?
Nice weather, nice beach, everything else is shit.
Sonora, there's just more open-minded people. Like not even sex, just going to bars and not having to watch my back is nice.
Loads, they all who go because of Hollywood dreams. They're all thots tho.
I meant among the CHI's
>the mexican itt is the one answering the questions
pottery
It still applies.
is it very common for people in the north to travel to the us regularly?
Yes
How cute are the hollywood gay boys?
I know more people that have been to LA and Phoenix than to Mexico City or Guadalajara.
Sounds bretty good
How common is it to see famous people if you live in LA?
The last celebrity I saw was Super Hans from Peep Show
High on meth, skinny, loaded up with AIDS, probably smoking a cigarette while wearing a crop top, shorts, and sandals
Almost everyday
Post pic you whore, also city
>when it rains
never, huh?
So the city starts an initiative to create temporary shelters to help the homeless crisis. And these fucking retard residents start *protesting* them
google.com
>lmao, homeless shelters in MY town!? Send them to the ghettos we don't give a fuck
But I do not know why the news singles out just the Koreans. NPR was reporting white people protesting all across the neighborhoods of LA.
Guess that SoCal literalisim only suits you when your property values stay high...
SoCal *liberalism*
im retarded
Are these so called NIMBYs? Why are they so common in California?
I only saw news report about Koreans protesting against dividing a large chunk of k town away and forming the little Bangladesh.
it is because of the tech boom in california that brought in a lot of wealthy professionals, driving housing demand up and property values up. the NIMBYs( aka people who lived there before the boom) set up zoning laws to prevent the construction of new housing to keep their property values high.
NIMBYs are common everywhere in the American Sun Belt. That’s why the Sun Belt is so sprawled. If you try to build a bed and breakfast or a little office building in a residential neighborhood (something perfectly normal and actually an asset to the surroundings), NIMBYs complain and think you’re ruining their family-values neighborhood.
Yes it’s retarded.
Based Koreans, Look up K Town During the Rodney King Riots some interesting stuff if you have the spare time.
Did you know Japan have Alps?
Japan Alps
This is official name.

is this west coast overrated compared to other parts of the country? I hear people say it's really different out west and I was always curious
fuck off to your own thread, michael
West coast weather is God tier. Apart from that not really
people don't seem kinder or anything?
the northwest is kind of bizarro new england and no one moves there because everyone is rude
the rest is basically the same
>no one moves there because everyone is rude
really? I hear nothing but complaining from them about how everyone is pouring into seattle or portland and how they hate it now
I live in LA and I have complaints but I wouldn't live anywhere else
Tell us your complaints and tell us what you like about it
Living in LA? NO!
Living in coastal OC like Laguna Beach? YES! (Probably I will have to commute to LA and it will be hellish tho)
Los Angeles is for people who want the homelessness, crime, and shitty urban planning of the IE but also want to pay the extravagant prices of Orange County.
well, my complaints
Infrastructure: You have to drive in traffic for like an hour to get somewhere, there's little public transportation
Housing cost: cant buy a home rip
Wealth disparity: Rich people reign supreme while the poor are suffering
What i love about it
it my home
People here may be rude but you feel the community
Diversity, can get any food and people here from around the globe
Nice weather
I just like the city, i'm a urban dweller
How do you compare OC and SD to LA? To me OC and SD have better urban plans and are a lot less crowded that LA
sorry for my retardation but what cities are those, are they east coast cause i literally don't know anything about the east coast
Not him but Orange County & San Diego
ohh lol
Orange county just seems like suburban housing near a beach but it still pretty nice, but not the type of place i would be
San Diego is nice too.
If i was someone else i would move to those places but i just feel at home in LA
Are there any proposals to increase public transportation or alleviate the housing crisis?
how can you not know the abbreviations for places that are literally next to u
What part of LA you in?
>city
LA is the biggest city that does not deserve to be called a city. It's an overgrown suburb. Suburb as far as the eyes can see. It's kinda revolting desu. Your downtown is minuscule compared to the size of LA.
>Are there any proposals to increase public transportation or alleviate the housing crisis?
The city is increasing spending on the metro, building new rail and stuff like that, and it seems to be working because I've seen more people take the bus lately and traffic seems a little tiny bit less worse
The housing crisis I don't know how to fix, maybe build more apartments for poor people and maybe take up less land, idk. But there is probably a solution.
i am retard
East LA
i would describe it as a weird hybrid of city and suburb desu
the traffic is shitty and the people are shittier
t. San Diegan MASTER race
>East LA
Are you a CHI?
I live in Santa Monica. Ask me anything.
That doesn't sound too bad
Don't know much about Santa Monica, other than it has a pier and a beach, and I think it's independent from Los Angeles itself.
Tell me more about it
>Are you a CHI?
si ese
More like t. Poway redneck :^)
Why is San Diego so white considering it's next to Tijuana?
Do you look like that OwO?
Also, tell me what life is like in the Mexican city of East Los Angeles kek
>Do you look like that OwO?
no lmao
Life in East LA is alright, some hood here and there but nothin bad.
life in East La be like
youtu.be
>no lmao
Disappointing
I find it so interesting that there's a city that's almost completely Hispanic in the US, and I'm guessing most of those are Mexican. Would love to visit and see what is like desu.
It's the nicest part of LA that you don't have to be rich to live in, though it's next to places that are super rich and beachfront property is preposterously expensive. We've got the best beaches in LA, the famous Santa Monica Pier, lots of good shopping areas, and low crime. If you aren't a millionaire, it's easily the best part of LA to live in or visit (aside from Hollywood to see movie-related stuff).
It would probably be Jow Forums's favorite part of LA because it's mostly white, though I don't care about that part.
come and visit its nice here.
Its mostly mexicans and some central americans here.
If you come visit i suggest going downtown and seeing all the little towns we got, we got koreatown, little Ethiopia , little tokyo, we got ports which look cool and we got some building.
Fuck Poway, I piss on those inbreds, I'd dump ten 50-megaton nukes on them if I could. I'm a POINT LOMA BVLL
???
census.gov
The county is 45% non-Hispanic wh*Te.
Looks like a nice place. How have they managed to keep houses at a reasonable price?
Hopefully, one day :3
Where in Mexico is your family from? Can you speak Spanish?
>koreatown, little Ethiopia, little tokyo
These are all in East LA?
Oh, I thought it was actually whiter than Los Angeles and Southern California in general
>Where in Mexico is your family from? Can you speak Spanish?
michoacán, I was born here and cant speak spanish
>These are all in East LA?
No, East LA doesn't have little towns or anything like that, its just a whole bunch of different races put in one place, but you can see the separation between mexican, chinese, and other.
>Looks like a nice place. How have they managed to keep houses at a reasonable price?
They still aren't cheap. Almost everything in LA is suburbs, so you just have to be willing to drive 30+ minutes to work every day.
I'm from Michoacan, too OwO. I'm from the Eastern Region.
How come you can't speak Spanish?
LA metropolitan area seem giant desu
cause i was converted to burgerism. I am trying to learn it tho
Cool
what about you taco man, you like the city or nah?
LA is fun and interesting to visit keyword visit because I wouldn't live there unless I was some rich fuck living in a tower or in the nice areas it has it's good and bad side, if you need to find something or have a blast LA is your place lots of different shit to do there good food, scenic historic places to visit, music and clubs and bars basically whatever the hell you want to do
Not the guy you responded to but it's common in LA for second-generation Mexicans to be completely monolingual.
Sometimes you'll walk into a Mexican/Latin-American restaurant and see a completely Amerindian-looking CHI struggling to speak to the restaurant staff. It's pathetic.
LA is one of the largest cities by area in the world. If you aren't prepared to drive half an hour or more to go to a basic destination, then you basically cannot live here.
I went to LA back in 2014, the traffic was insane. The weather is great there, but the sprawl, diversity, and congestion are major downsides. Driving from LA to SD felt like going through Guatemala
Come to LA and visit our really old Spanish missions from the 1600s. Come and see where Spanish priests forced Indians to pretend to be Catholic.
Well, I've never visited LA (or America) so Idk, but I think it looks pretty cool, I don't really mind traffic or suburbia-hybrid places, so I'm not bothered by that.
Also, would be nice I wouldn't feel so out of place since there's so many other Mexicans there.
>to be completely monolingual
Why is that? I would've thought it would be easier to keep the language there, specially in places like East LA
I like to drive
Hmmm, i see. Pretty soon it wont be just mexicans here, lots of Asians are moving in at faster rate than Mexicans, and that includes all Asians
Indian, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Viet, they are all flooding in. I welcome it personally, Asians usually bring in more positives than negatives, such as lower crime, more business, and monies
Is there a lot of Spanish colonial architecture, there? Or Mexican buildings?
>Also, would be nice I wouldn't feel so out of place since there's so many other Mexicans there.
There are huge chunks of LA that you could navigate through just by speaking Spanish. It's incredible.
My Chilean cousin flew in for the first time a few years ago and he couldn't believe the amount of Latin Americans he saw.
