There's not a single black person and the protagonist is an old fashioned white cowboy type, who is portrayed as morally justified, clever and strong, and a powerful mediator between whites and redskins. Going to college across the bay, and it's fine. It's a great city to visit. I imagine that living there, or being forced to live in the bay outside of uni, would be fucking horrible. But after being home for summer for 2 months I'm already starting to miss the area and the wonderful weather.
Obviously the people are garbage, but I don't really need the people to be good. As long as it's naturally beautiful (and I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the world) and has a lot of good amenities, I'm happy.
