Are they nice people? Why do anons say they are stuck up and arrogant?
Are they nice people? Why do anons say they are stuck up and arrogant?
don't talk with me shitskin
Non Parisian frenchies are alright except for br*tons.
Unironically the nicest people in Europe.
What are Bretons anyways? How similar are they to French people?
That’s like asking why humans act superior to dogs. You have to remember that France is the greatest nation in history.
Bretons are frogs who partly descend from Brythonnic settlers from Britain, and used to speak a Celtic language. Just normal frogs.
When I flew Air France from CDG to Hong Kong the flight attendants couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. But they treated the Chinese passengers like dirt.
What are Occitans then? Are they Med Frogs or 50% Italian Frogs?
They don't exist. Occitania is a meme historical region that was drawn based on a common language family. Other than that, hundreds of different cultures and peoples existed there.
Med frogs are people from Languedoc and Provence and their surrounding regions.
France is apparently nice, if you just ignore p*ris
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Occitans have that weird version of christianity where they have to kill themselves or stop breeding?
we are just sick and tired of shitskins and tourists
Catharism? It was present in southern France, yes, but also in northern Italy IIRC.
Thanks user
What do French people think about Quebecois or French Canadians in general? Surely the relations between the two would be great since they speak the same language and the latter having a common root from France
I've been to Paris back when I was a kid and I didn't see shitskins around.I just noticed how the subway there smells like piss until I saw a woman peeing in the side
I've been all over Europe and France is the only country that pissed me off, well Paris at least. No one, even at the train station, wanted to speak English with me. It was obvious she knew the language. Paris was also the city where people tried to sell me hard drugs two times a night.
Menton was a pretty nice city though.
>Menton
Completely forgot that this city existed, mind blown
Why?
Is it like the Ghetto City of France where Africans and Gypsies live?
I like Elsaß
I actually had better pizza there than I did in Italy, not even joking.
quick recap
paris is shit
bretagne is full of smoking weed commies
picardie / nord pas de calais have chill people and good beer (if you're white)
mediteranean cost = boomer land
Oh, I love everything about Québécois and French Canadians, from their culture to their dialect. But France is pretty closed to the world so most French people haven't had much exposure to them, so their opinion of French Canadians is limited to how funny they find the accent. I've even been told by a Québécois girl once, that she met a French person who didn't know Céline Dion was from Québec. That must've been angering.
>Menton
why do boomers love getting roasted by the sun and sweating so much?
EXCELLENT post
I hear that some French dislike Quebecois because of how their language has evolved even though it is still the same.Is it true?
Well we were interailing with my friend. It was near the ocean and we stopped by there.
This was like 10 years ago.
You're missing the joke, it means chin in spanish
Don't think so. The Québécois dialect isn't different enough to warrant that. They just use some terms differently than us, and use words that are obsolete in our version of French.
Thanks user
I had that thought since I've heard how Trudeau used a term in French that has a different meaning in French now which made Macron snicker for a bit and everyone was talking about it.What do French people think about Italians,Spaniards and Portuguese?
pic related
Oh. Does it mean anything in French?
>mediteranean cost = boomer land
even the zoomers behave like 60 years old boomers here but languedoc is very different, it's like sunny poland
t. alpes maritimes zoomer
Nice one
yes it means chin also but I'm sure the fr*gs stole it from us
Well that depends on where they live in France. I'd say Northern Catalans must have rather strong opinions on Spain, just as Corsicans and Niçois probably have strong opinions on Italy. Speaking in general now, we see Italy as a country with a culture similar to ours, good monuments and food, while Spain is pretty much the same thing but with a better party culture maybe? Portugal feels more distant, but we see it as similar to Spain. I also have friends who idealize Portuguese girls.
I'm from the very northern tip of France though, so it all feels very distant to me. I'm not sure I gave a good answer.
>fr*gs stole it from us
you Catalan or something?
My sister dated a Catalan guy. He was a pretty fun guy.
>Niçois probably have strong opinions on Italy
we do have strong opinions towards italians, we buy a lots of shits from there and the local culture is heavily influenced by the piedmonteses
but corsicans are tribal barbarians and hate anyone who doesn't comes from their village/city specially frenchs and italians
What are corsicans?
Some say they are italians while some say they are french. What is your verdict?
don't listen to this northern retard france used to be divided in two, langue d'oil (the northern retards) and langue d'oc, occitania (the source of progress and the defining culture of france in the long run, romanticism and art de vivre)
hillbilly italians
corsicans are corsicans
even if they belong to us, they are still their own people with their own people and all of the non-citycucks french respect that
chechens of france
don't listen to this toulouse retard >romanticism and art de vivre
noblemen's bullshits
I guess so?
I've been to /his/ and they kept on arguing that Corsicans are Italians and that Napoleon is Italian. But what'd I expect from a shitty board
I ask him about Cathars but thanks for the info user
When was "Occitania" ever united under a single culture? The only real divisions in France were provincial ones. You can perfectly claim that people from Provence or Languedoc accomplished more things than people from Normandy or Burgundy, but that doesn't mean Occitania existed or was recognised by the people as an existing entity in any tangible manner.
cathars were a small phenomenon, quickly extinguished, left only high altitude ruins of castles
they never stood a chance
