I'm a Yankee, and I'm moving to Finland, and as I recall I'll need to first acquire citizenship and be a firearm owner there for at least 5 years before I can own pistols. Glock 26, S&W Model 10, Ruger Mark III, a Nagant 1895 (it was cheap and it's a fun toy when I have the ammo).

Gun ownership doesn't require citizenship IIRC, just a lawful purpose. Pistols unfortunately do require 2 years of practice, but it doesn't say where you have to had practiced. Technically you could make a case for having shot in yankland for 2y and be eligible to bring your handguns over.

Also we have no import restrictions, so you could just bring them here and keep them at a range or something. I have no idea about the logistics for such a move though since you wouldn't be able to pick them up from customs yourself since you don't have possession rights, only ownership.

Write an enquiry to a PD closest to where you'll be living over here and see what they tell you before selling your guns.

I have a decent grip, but it's a P938, tiny little gun and I'm shooting some pretty hot ammo so it's going to have a good bit of kick to it
