We care more about the Mexican dialect of Spanish than Cajun French and Pennsylvania Deutsche. We literally tried to kill Cajun French and now only elder folks speak it.
It is sad too see younger Cajuns struggle to speak their tongue while we have Federal forms/fillouts in Spanish.

We banned speaking Cajun in schools, just like Native Languages did. See above, although that does play a big difference, if there's no Cajun media then it has no relevance, even to other Francophones. We didn't just ban them from TV and radio, we took the seeds out of the ground for Cajun before allowing it to grow.
