It's a sacrifice. I know it's said that women enjoy a man who cheats on them, but I've never seen this in real life. I get the reasoning behind it and I believe it's possible, but you need the ingredients of solid, unshakeable game and a woman with cuckqueen tendencies.

Throughout my years I've always seen relationships go off the deep end when the man is caught cheating. Game enthusiasts will claim it's possible to juggle both, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps some user's here can chime in with personal experience.

To clarify I'm not only talking about recovering a relationship after cheating, but a scenario in which the man is free to cheat, but the woman is not.

Unless you've fully talked things out, and are extremely comfortable together with a clear direction for your relationship, this can absolutely fuck things up. Been there before. Opens the doorway for her to later say "Well I did the two girls thing for you, why can't we do two guys for me?"

Either talk about that beforehand, or realize that it may become a possibility down the line when she thinks about it sometime.

If you say you could see her doing something like that, then I would definitely say you have issues in your relationship to reevaluate before you do anything like this. If there's already even a fraction of a trust issue there, where one of you thinks the other might cheat, a threesome will only exacerbate the problem.

I think it's when they prove to you that they're trustworthy. My girlfriend for instance, will tell me things even if it's stuff she knows might upset me. We both have a somewhat jealous streak because we both have anxiety issues, but we're very open and clear about it. If one of us makes the other jealous, we talk about it in an open way and resolve it right away and make sure that we make each other comfortable with the situation.

If something happens, like a guy on work hits on her, she will tell me about it immediately to let me know what happened and that it made her uncomfortable. She's genuinely a very honest person, I've never seen her tell a lie to anyone even when it would be far more convenient to just lie about something.

Honesty and trustworthiness are traits that are inherent to some people. You can probably already tell in your gut whether or not she's trustworthy.

I think she's trustworthy and a good person. I guess I do need her to be completely open with me though. Our personality types are such that I'm very open and honest, but she sometimes leaves out some things I guess in order to protect me. But I told her even if it's small I need to know everything.

Don't take the jealousy thing too seriously. Yes it can be projection, but jealousy is also a very normal emotion that virtually everyone has. Most people have felt jealous of friends, or of their significant other's interactions with the opposite sex. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, so don't let it fuck your head up too much thinking about the worst case scenario, when it's also a perfectly normal feeling.

Jealousy can also just come from caring about someone a lot, and being very afraid of losing them to another person. If you're open about it, and discuss it rather than ignore it, it can be a bonding experience where you can learn about each other's insecurities and find yourselves feeling closer together.

Look into primary and secondary emotions - primary emotions are what we feel in response to a situation. For instance, your girl hangs out with a dude, you feel jealous, maybe angry. That's your primary emotion. Your secondary emotions in that instance, are the emotions that drive the projection of that anger and jealousy. Your secondary emotion there might be sadness, because on some level you feel like the guy she hung out with has a chance with her and you might lose her. Or it might be fear, that she is going to make a dumb mistake and ruin what you have together.

No worries man, I just like to help people out where I can. I study relationship psychology, and healthy relationships are a very important part of a healthy life, so I like to do what I can to help people find and maintain them.

I think my best advice is constant open communication, and always "turn toward" your partner. In relationship psychology, when your partner interacts with you, there are three ways to react. Imagine the scenario where you're watching TV together on the couch, with your partner sitting next to you. She places her hand on your leg, looking to hold hands. The three ways you can generally react:

1. Turn toward - you take her hand, and it's another point toward your relationship. She's happy, you've bonded in a small way, supported her and done a small affectionate thing together.

2. Turn away - you ignore her hand and her request. She feels defeated, ignored, slighted, maybe even embarrassed. You haven't shown her the support or affection she was looking for, and her mind begins to wander and think about why. This happens when the relationship starts to turn cold or dwindle, when things start to get on the rocks. Don't let this happen, always turn towards.

3. Turn against - this is when things have really broken down. You move her hand away from you, take it off your lap and put it back on hers. Now she knows she's not only being ignored or not shown affection, but actively being pushed away. This is very damaging to a relationship, however small it seems in the moment. Try to never hit this point. It can be hard to come back from, and when you do come back from it, there's often still a lingering feeling of hurt and mistrust, and a fear that this sort of attitude in the relationship will come back.

And smoking is a tough one, not my area of expertise but I did study it briefly, so I'll give you what I can.

The idea is to break not just the habit of smoking, but the whole ritual, or to replace the smoking with something else in the ritual. For many people, it becomes an ingrained part of life, you take regular smoke breaks at work and with the same people. It becomes a social thing, with the ritual being the typical "Hey I'm gonna head out for a smoke, wanna come?" then heading out to the usual place and lighting up. In those circumstances, it takes a lot of willpower and usually a lot of support to help break the ritual. What helps some people, is transitioning over to e-cigarettes or vapes. Start with a nicotine vape, and eventually move on to just flavoured ones with no nicotine. This way, you're essentially performing the same ritual/habit, but you're slowly helping your lungs out too and breaking the nicotine addiction.

If you don't have that sort of ritual at work/with friends, then you're a lot better off. It's much easier to stop smoking when it's not something that generally supported by your social circles. Then it really just comes down to willpower, and breaking through the first couple weeks. Doing things like making it harder to allow yourself to smoke (put your smokes in a locked cabinet, put your lighter and smokes in two separate locations, put them in a high place you can't reach without a chair) make you more likely to be able to stop. The more inconvenient you make it for yourself, the less compelled you'll be to do it. But when it's a one-stop shop that's right next to the door, it's like hey fuck it, why not.

That's as much as I really have there, sorry. Like I say, it's not really my specialty. It's a tough habit to break, but I'm sure you can do it if you keep at it.
