I live in the most dynamic city in France for job growth, the flat is renovated, not far from the rail station in a good area. Plus, I will litterally pay less for the surface than what I rent now.

I'm on the outskirts of suburbia (away from the niggers and refugees). I work in the heart of the city and that's a 45-60 minute commute based on traffic.

If I went the other way, I'd be well in the country within 45-60 minutes.

My commute is a bit longer than that (1h10) because I currently work in another city and have to take the train every day. However it's a comfy train and my company refunds me the train tickets.
