There are currently fires starting all over my region. The fire department is currently trying to stop a fire around a kilometer away from our forest.

It has not burnt down yet. I'm posting here because there is litterally nothing we can do about it except for waiting for the rains and praying.

Well see how much we get from it, if the fires hit us at all. When Gudrun ran over Scania in 2005 the insurance companies were not able to pay back enough due to the sheer amount of destuction. Maybe I'm overreacting but it sure is a shity feeling looking towards the horizon and just waiting, hoping to see the sky go black once the sun has truly set.

My family had the same thing happen last year in rural Oregon. Thankfully the fire crew was able to to get it stopped with some luck from the wind. If It hadn't changed we would have been directly in its path by the time they got it to stop. Wish you the same good luck user.

Land is bought and sold in small areas(pic related) with irregular shapes here meaning that it would take weeks to circle all of the small areas we own and just dozing someone elses land would be financial suicide. To top it of, the fires seem to be starting everywhere meaning you can't really predict where to start digging.
