We had an attempted military coup by the Freemasons in 1981. You can look up "Propaganda 2". There were a bunch of arrests and even deaths.
In 2017 two Freemasons were arrested after hundreds of secret passwords and files of bankers, high bureaucrats and politicians were found in their possession (look up "Occhionero brothers").
However prosecutors weren't able to find much else.
