Colombia has too much drugs, and Venezuela has too much pseudo-socialism (is it real socialism or not nobody can say but it sucks ass so whatever)

Cr*ollos

You forgot Panama

Venezuela has American corporate and government backed opposition trying to disrupt and destablise a democratically elected leader because the elites aren't able to exploit the nation as easy as they want. Your nation is a parasitic growth upon the Americas. Kill yourself.

don't forget ecuador

also

>columbia

>tfw no Gran Colombia full of gran culos

Fuck off, Poland

Panama is a lot more distinct, though they're more similar to the former Gran Colombia than their northern neighbours

No, also if Venezuela being "oppose" by USA is enough to make it crumble, Venezuela is still weak as shit. We nuked the shit out of Japan and its still a good country.

We used to be 1 country along with Panama
socialism is a relatively new phenomenon in Venezuela. It was instlled less than 20 years ago, we've been separated for almost 2 centuries

Why do non latinos think all Latin American countries are the same?

But why did Gran Colombia break up?
Afaik it was because of Ecuador and Venezuela defying Centralised Authority in Colombia. Are there other reasons why?

caudillos

kek if socialism is so based what are you waiting for? move to Venezuela today!

>first world socialist with all the comforts in the world crying about muh oppression detected

That's the main reason. For Panama it was US intervention. They love ruining countries

Colombia and Venezuela politically dislike/hate each other, explained. As of Ecuador, the country is part of ALBA, but Colombia doesn't hold too much grudges against them, union can be a possibility, however, I fear the power would too much centered around Bogota, since Ecuador is a small country, in terms of area and population.

kys pinko

Thanks to good old Mexico and USA.

>americans are retarded
>"lole fuck mexicans"

And I also assume that Americans are 100% wrong about Latin America's representation in their media but they are also 100% right about Mexico.

>Venezuela has American corporate and government backed opposition trying to disrupt and destablise a democratically elected leader because the elites aren't able to exploit the nation as easy as they want.
No one believes that retard. We buy crude off them and sell them shit. They are just led by idiots who probably couldn't make a Taco Bell between a college and a string of bars profitable.

It's actually only Americans. They can't even locate their own country on the map (youtube.com/watch?v=kRh1zXFKC_o).

They imagine every single Latin American country is just exactly like Mexico because that's the for the most part the only influence they have with Latin Americans. The probably even think that you or I eat tacos.

It's not Mexicans fault.

Nah it's just Hollywood and american's stupidity

>Panama
Doesn't the Darien gap fuck that up?

not an issue

>Why do non latinos think all Latin American countries are the same?
They don't understand that Latin Americs and disagree with each other as much as they do with their neighbors.

It's not our fault that most Americans are massive retards.

>That's the main reason. For Panama it was US intervention. They love ruining countries
Pretty sure Panama is enjoying the canal.

>And I also assume that Americans are 100% wrong about Latin America's representation in their media but they are also 100% right about Mexico.
Honestly besides you we only ever hear about you, Brazil, Columbia, Nicaruagua (more so recently) and Venezual in the news. We are aware of like Chile but that's more from travel shows or places like Costa Rica because of tourism. I'm obviously not counting PR since it's ours.

The elites had their own interests.

The elites from bogota wanted to manage everything, Ecuador and venezuela said "fuck it" and broke gran colombia (I think it was for the best , our elites are useless as fuck). Actually we could've been balcanized even further. We had an internal war over this.

Then USA cucked us and invented panama.

implying is their canal kek.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_invasion_of_Panama

Sorry, what I really meant was Mexican-Americans(many other LatAm diasporas can be counted too), because many of them try to act like the average non-Latino American would expect a Latin American to act.

I'll fucking kill you for defending anything about that government.

Fuckin'ell lad, learn how to spell.

>Gran Columbia
>Vast oil deposits, the Panama Canal, fertile af lands
Fug that would have been an impressive country. Probably would have led to war eventually though, either with Mexico and the US or with Brazil and Argentina.

>Kicking out a man who laundered money for drug cartles is the same as not returning the canal 10 years later.
He's also sitting in one of their prisons right now.

Pretty sure it would've been constructed anyway without giving away their sovereignty for 100 years

nah, our leaders are useless. The elites that are the same since the colony never worked for shit, unlike the elites of the USA.

there is always a good excuse for an US intervention.

"their canal" is yours. congrats.

It was indeed one of the most powerful countries on earth at one point

Attached: gc.png (838x91, 12K)

>muh imperialismo americano
Fuck off, aussiecunt

Attached: 847587394789493.png (937x586, 507K)

Actually these three countries have very little in common and SHOULD be balcanized even further. I, for one, am Cundiboyacense and have very little to do with a Costeño or a Zuliano.

True but the same could be argued for ANY country you can think of. Souther Americans hate western Amrican, people from the midwest, I mean is a clusterfuck. Brazil has the northeast which is basically a different country from the south. Spain is a bunch of autonomous regions with independent languages glued together, etc.....

What did the Elites do to make Ecuador and Venezuela leave apart from Centralisation? And if there was a chance to reunify the three nations who would have the most legitimacy?

At least we could had a federation , were every region control their own shit, like switzerland. But they wanted to control everything from the center, really fucked up.

>would have the most legitimacy?
The capital was always Bogota, so central power would probably concentrate there whether it'd be beneficial or not
>apart from Centralisation?
I suppose they had their own interest and different political views. Bolivar was a socialist and expansionist. Colombian elites were always centralist and conservative. Would be good if an Ecuadorian could chime in as I don't know much about that side of the story

Do they have big dicks?

>Socialist
>in the 1800s
What kind of Socialist is Bolivar?

work and send taxes to Bogota, and let them decide over lands and people that they don't even know.

sounds like plan.

Don't know if that's the correct term but he was imperialist as hell and had a dream of "Patria grande" in which he wated completely unrelated people to us (Bolivians, argentinians, peruvians and so on) to be part of the same nation. Fuck that!

Wasn't "Patria Grande" a term first coined by an Argentine intellectual at the beginning of the XX century?

Patria grande was'nt a Bolivar idea. He just wanted Gran colombia, but he was betrayed. Now we are separated and weak.

Is it true that Gran Colombia has a war with Peru over Pastaza and Loretta?

Dunno but he wanted the same. I believe argentinians even based that terrible idea which has been detrimental to their country on Bolivar's ideals or something cause they always seem to bring it up when talking about the subject

>Is it true that Gran Colombia has a war with Peru over Pastaza and Loretta?
No that I'm aware of. I only know there was a territorial dispute over Leticia in the Amazon but that happened in the early XX century if I'm not mistaken

A little one.
The brother of my grandpa served there.

Well... We had a war and it devolved in other territorial disputes with Colombia and Ecuador.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Colombia–Peru_War?wprov=sfla1

What's that war about? I have a high ranking military ancestor from the thousand days war

Based strayan

Did he get any war loot like an enemy uniform or a gun?

The difficulty of reaching Bogota from Panama in the XIX century was a big issue.

It would have been build in Nicaragua.

> Democratically elected
Are you actually that dense to believe that he got 8 million votes when most of the voting places across the country were nearly EMPTY?

Yes. But he died a few years ago, though.

some clay in the amazonia.

Grandpa was in the bogotazo. Nothing fancy, foot soldiers.

No I'dont think so. Grandma told that one of my grand-grandmothers was adopted in ecuador after what I think was the independence war. A little orphan.

Not really. We could've played our cards differently and still got it built in the same place without giving up 1 cm of territory. Happens that the then president of Colombia was not too bright

>Grandpa was in the bogotazo
Mine (all 4 of them) were there too. I've heard a shitton of stories from that day. My grandma on my mother side studied at the historic district at the time and it's fascinating the way he narrated the events

she*

your inner rolo is showing kek.

Do Colombians,Venezuelans and Ecuadorians have their own version of Chicano too?

The problem was more than just Marroquín. According to what I have read, Bogota was too busy in an internal power struggle between Liberals and Godos to take the project with the priority it needed. The US was already planning on building the Interoceanic Canal in Nicaragua.

um no, not really.

Cr*ollos.
There's a period in our shared, common, history between 1810 and 1816 called "patria boba" (Foolish Fatherland), and it can be summarized basically as filthy power thirsty cr*ollos quarreling among themselves and backstabbing each other in an attempt to take over the power and control of the nascent "nation"
It proved to be too much for the fragile foundations of the "nation" which consequently led to its split-up.

colombiANO

>Why do non latinos think all Latin American countries are the same?
because they are.
same ethnic mix, same language

MERCOSUR was meant to foster political integration in the long-run kind of like an EU for south america.

But becoming part of a supernational org meant giving up a degree of autonomy by the national govs. Authoritarian govs are much more resistant to that than liberal govs. Venezuela actually backtracked and this coincided with the push of anti-democratic policies.

tl;dr: crooks don't join unless they need to because they don't want to share power with other crooks

divide y venceras.

>filthy power thirsty cr*ollos quarreling among themselves and backstabbing each other in an attempt to take over the power

and is still happening.

Plus half-animal costeño mutts.

Panama exists since 1519. The US did not invent it. WTF.

Actually no

>same ethnic mix
That's factually untrue though. The caribbean has strong African presence that doesn't exist in Mesoamerica, Southern Andes and Southern cone. Also the native tribes present across the territory differed vastly from each other. I wouldn't expect a clueless leaf to know this though

its a condor, fuckwit

Also, different degrees of EUropean admixture by country, different immigraton patterns, different European waves of migration, Middle eastern migration and so on. Fucking hell I hate leafs

Uruguay is 10% Black.

I'll fucking kick your face in, mutt.

Why are canadians like this? There's not a single country west of greenwich with the authority to call anoyone a mutt

>Hector Lavoe
Patrician taste.

I wouldn't mind re-unification if we could live up to our combined potential, but it's obvious that's not possible. We are already fucked on our own, it would be worst being one bigger shithole
