I was almost in disbelief when I first heard about this. I read through the actual complaint and valid statutes, namely 6 USC § 441-4 and 6 CFR 25. Unless I am missing something the legal argument they are using appears valid. The only way the survivors could get damages from MGM is if they could prove that MGM was a conspirator in the shooting.

Also I like how the Safety Act was codified as 6 USC § 441-4. Maybe this is just me being a superstitious slant eye, but 4 is such a pleasant number that sounds like something nice that is totally fitting of something called the "safety act".
