2 trezors and 2 ledgers
each have 1,200 usd
then $200 worth of btc in an electrum wallet for quick spending

i have around $150k on a ledger, keep ~$10-20k on various exchanges for trading

I transfer mine to wow gold and disable the authenticator since thats a pain in the ass.
keys are in a notepad file called "crypto" on my desktop
get a separate cheap laptop and take out all of the wireless stuff on the inside, or just buy a ledger direct from them.
dont ever buy anything that relies on trivial physical security like a trezor or keepkey. they think welding the plastic case shut is security.

Yeah 4 hardware wallets for 5k is pretty damn stupid. With such a small stack, everything you have should be in shitcoins.
5k doesn't even merit a single hardware wallet. Your poor ass should have stuck to paper wallet or just left it on exchanges.
I'd say maybe 20k+ you start looking into a hardware wallet and are getting it primarily because access to your funds takes too long or it is not very secure in hot wallets and this is causing you to lose sleep.
I have over 2m+ and I currently have 50% in ledger and 50% in Trezor and keep them on me. I have the 24 word pneumonic phrase kept in a bank. Even this is overkill imo as one ledger nano s would be sufficient.

Very nice user....I would love a Chainlink branded Ledger nano one day. ledger nano is best wallet. Trezor can be physically hacked and you need bridge software to access funds..
I used to do this for a long time , about 6 months. I never got hacked but I started reading stories about people on Plebbit getting hacked this way. Probably because phishing or using MEW when compromised. I eventually switched to hardware and it's really convenient and more secure.
