How bad are American tourists in your country?

They live on an island. When they go for the first time to continental Europe, they consider its like to lose "their virginity". So they are shit face all the time while doing their European tour of the most touristic cities while traveling in pack of ten.

No need to get defensive, it's not a country bash thread. See , tourists are not necessarily representative of a country. I just want to know people's experiences.

They are not bad. The worst tourists are the Germans and Chinese / Koreans.

Americans tourists in France are retired boomers who can afford it and don't cause any problem. Brits are closer to France so even chavs can come here

Used to work at a restaurant part time and a large group of Americans (mostly Asian Americans) came in one day.
It was a very pleasant experience, they were so friendly. They literally clapped for me because I looked up bell pepper in the dictionary (menu was only in German). In the end they wanted to tip me like 30€ but I refused.

Maybe afraid of a free helicopter ride.
