Just found out that there's a Burger King less than half a mile away.
I'm very curious - what would a kinggoer recommend? What's worth trying, and what's not?

Nothing. Save your body.

Don't bother.
Eat healthy
this

Appreciated.
Surely it couldn't hurt to do it at least once, though. I don't normally eat food like this, and my curiosity is getting the best of me here.

Obviously it won't hurt, they're trying to take the moral high-ground.

Go eat it.

I couldn't make eating there a habit of it even if I tried - I know the stuff's not healthy very well, so their warnings are not falling on deaf ears, and are appreciated.

Alright.

Their chicken sandwiches are surprisingly good.

Would they happen to be somewhat cheap? At any rate, noted.

Chicken fries

Thanks for all of the replies - I'll keep everything in this thread in mind if I go there.

Crispy Chicken is really good.

This too.

Man, chicken is really their forte, isn't it? Most of the replies ITT have praised it.

It's pretty good. KFC do a good one too.

How widespread is fast food there?

Post Tsugus.

Big King XXL.
Only burger worth eating.

In my city, at least, I presume not as much as in abroad when it comes to the chains. There are 4 mickey D (two in malls, the rest randomly in town), one KFC, and one Burger King.
There are, however, doner kebab and pizza places (oftentimes they're even the same place!), hotdog places, and other places that sell greasy, baked/fried foodstuffs peppered around town.

I have managed to eat at BK only a couple of times for several reasons, but I guess Whopper is a must try. I tried some smaller burgers for reference but they were nothing special.

I'm going to try them next actually myself. Thank you mr Burger

Mickey D's? Never heard that one before. We usually call it Maccies here for slang.

It's interesting because we also have the weird Doner/Burger/Pizza combo places, amongst other cheap and greasy things.

Do you like baked pretzels? The ones covered in big sea salt. Not sure if you've tried one.

Is it as heavy as it looks? Feel like I'd feel full from eating this alone.

Nah, it's pretty small

The Whopper is worlds better than the Big Mac. I recommend it. Their fries are okay but you won't be disappointed with the Whopper.

Don't do it, big disappointment. Has no distinct character. Go with McDonalds

I've had pretzels, yeah - though they didn't have a bit of salt on top of them. I liked them, and I loved the firmness for a change.
I don't buy them nearly as I do the breads, the buns and the baguettes, though.

It looked like it'd be sickly-sweet with that chocolate in the middle, but maybe the ice cream balances things out. Thank you!

How exactly does it lack character? I've been to McDs already, and I thought they'd offer something different compared to them, hence my curiosity.

I like the breakfast sandwiches

I'm really craving some fresh bread now, thanks a lot!

Thankfully I have some.

I mean try it if youve never had but dunno, just kinda of tasteless. The whole grilled thing didn't come through, the sauce didnt stick to my memory.

I didn't know Whopper had this smoky flavor, artificial or not. It was ok.

BK is essentially slightly better slightly more expensive Mcdonalds

I dunno how they do it over there, but here BK’s sale game is impeccable. Just this week, 2 whoppers for 6 dollars. Last week it was 2 dollars for a 10 piece chicken nuggets and sauce

There's some chance that I could end up pleasantly surprised if I went there with low expectations.
So maybe it's worth it, maybe it's not, is what you're trying to say?

I've no idea about the prices; just saw it from a distance. Here's hoping they're as low as yours.
